sundstrom
In the last 10 minutes, I've gotten 3 different calls from the Devils (3 different people) asking me if I'd like to purchase holiday packages for either the Devils or Nets. The good news is they're really trying to get asses in the seats. The bad news is that 3 calls to the same person (who is already a season ticket holder and has tickets to these games) shows a little bit of incompetence which I'm not particularly happy about. If I wasn't a ticket holder, and got 3 calls in succession like that, I'd be very turned off.
MantaRay
All the money they have invested marketing ONLY the Nets and it boils down to this.
'7'
and how are the eastern conference champion nets doing attendance wise? Once again, they're drawing worse than we are!!!
Jerrydevil
Any drop in prices for that holiday package? If not, they can take a hike.
Rock
I assume it's the holiday six pack as in the past. Do you happen to remember what games were included in the package?
LIDevsFan1
That's pathetic----it doesn't surprise me though that when they decide to do some marketing they do it in a half-assed unprofessional way. I almost think its against their interest at this point to market heavily. If attendance goes up they won't be able to lobby as hard for a new arena. I think they would rather take the short term hit in attendance and go for the big prize.
Jerrydevil
LIDevsfan, I completely agree with you, even though some people might say you're crazy. I think the Devils are more worried about lobbying for the new arena than filling the one they have. Nice post.
MantaRay
For a major league team there marketing is sure very Bush league.
IAmCanadian27
They called me too, and I don't have season tickets, which makes me wonder how they got my phone number...
Lady Stanley
This is for Rock: I got a postcard in the mail today about the Holiday 6-pack. These are the games they've included: Jan 10 vs. Flyers Feb 9 vs. Wild Feb 25 vs. Rangers Mar 11 vs. Thrashers Mar 21 vs. Pens Apr 1 vs. Toronto Not too bad of a selection. exit_16w
I was at the Devils/rag$ game on thursday there was not many people in the lower level seats. But if you look in the upper deck it was almost filled. Maybe if they want more people in the seats, try lowering the prices. Ticket prices are becoming more and more insane. ringtwins
I actually tried to get lower level seats for that game and could not, so that is truly sad
Matteau#32
That is actually not a bad package. 3 division games, another original six, an up and coming Minnesota and return of jacques Lemaire (if that means anything) and two of the most exciting youngsters in the world in Heatley and kovalchuck. While I was watching last night I saw another package advertised for 4 games (I think), wasn't very impressed with that one. As for Thursday, there were entire rows in the upper bowl empty, in the endzone sections. I checked ticketmaster and there are still tixx available for both ranger games. Seemed like less for the weekend games. If the devils keep playing well and the Rangers get on track, both games will sell out.
