Rock
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/06/sports/hockey/06sweaters.html?_r=1&ref=hockey “Honestly, I’m glad that the old logo has gone now,” Thomas Vanek, a forward entering his sixth season with the Sabres, said on his Web site. “For me, our throwback jerseys are the best in the league. I loved the buffalo with the crossed sabers already as a kid.” The Islanders’ long succession of oddly designed, strangely colored jerseys has also ended, with a return to the simple design of their original uniform. Watching the team skate onto the ice for training camp wearing its new jerseys, the team’s former public-relations head, Chris Botta, wrote on Twitter, “15 years later, the New York Islanders finally have major league uniforms again.”
Jerrydevil
The Flyers getting rid of the black unis was such a good move.
David Puddy
According to Brian Jennings, the N.H.L.’s executive vice president for marketing, team apparel sales account for 50 percent of retail licensing revenue. He said that a change in a team’s uniform usually bumps sales about 20 percent. There ya go.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
I didn't realise how many new jerseys were being released this year. I have to say i like nearly all of them. All going back to the classic style.
njdevil26
Hmm what jerseys are we still waiting for? Technically Buffalo's new third even though we already know what it looks like... The Columbus third. Isn't Washington unveiling a third? The Rangers' third... which is a darker blue with New York diagonal New Kings third Canucks 40th anniversary jersey... Vinnie
The Canucks jerseys are great, but how many different jerseys have they worn in their history now? Like 50? And they've never improved on the originals.

Besides the ones posted by Devil Dan, we know that the Kings third is probably this: http://www.icethetics.info/blog/2010/4/28/kings-going-retro-in-2010-11.html. Columbus we know nothing about other than it's a cannon. Washington won't have a third, their winter classic jersey could become their third though. http://www.icethetics.info/blog/2010/10/2/caps-unveil-winter-classic-jersey.html Anaheim, we know only that it will harken back to the original Mighty Ducks logo, something like this: http://www.icethetics.info/blog/2010/10/1/nhl-jerseywatch-2010.html. Devil Dan 56
Made out of real bison too I bet I'm waiting for a team to wear actual old school knit sweaters from the 20's as the old school war continues.
ZeroGravityFat
new jersey devils will feature sweaters made by players' mommies, beat that buffalo!
yankeesjetsfan
Like most of the new jerseys. Loving the Sabere and Isles classic throwbacks. Not digging the numbering on the back of the Saberes 3rd and not sure why the Rags arent using the statue of liberty jersey as their 3rd. Also kinda dig the Ducks old logo as well. I don't think that Kings jersey is a third, just a throwback (like the Flames had last year and like our Xmas jerseys) that will be worn on multiple occasions this year. Who knows, maybe they'll go in the same direction as Calgary and make it their third, but I think for right now, the third is still their silver and black jersey (the one with no purple) and this could just be a one season thing. roomtemp
So why did they feel the need to ruin the Sabres 3rd with that ugly second set of stripes spaced out like that?
Jerrydevil
So when do we get to wear Rockies and Scouts throwbacks? Hopefully never. Those are different franchises as far as I'm concerned, although they technically aren't. Green and red ... bring that on as a third jersey. That would be cool. Devil Dan 56
So why did they feel the need to ruin the Sabres 3rd with that ugly second set of stripes spaced out like that? According to the article that was with that picture, the 4 stripes signify their 40 years in Buffalo. Meh. Still looks weird. If they combine their jerseys to use the Sabre logo with that royal blue, it'll look fantastic like the old ones.
