My real guess would be that if its not just Greene going, he will be involved in the trade. It just seems that he would be the most likely wanted. I dont think it would be a D coming out way. Triumph Posted February 10, 2011 Share Posted February 10, 2011 davis has been completely passed over in albany. swift was a decent player down there, not sure why he gets moved. still, albany needs a vet d, and if they're going to move greene and one of salmela, corrente, or fraser, having a guy like leach who can adequately fill in at the nhl level makes sense. I don't think they'd roll the ice with Jay Leach again unless they absolutely had to, that team was playing ungodly hockey when he came up so they could survive with him. Albany has been a train wreck this year and they need help, especially on defense. Davis does not have an NHL future in this organization. He has been passed by younger players every year and has never stepped up with the big AHL season to earn a real chance in the NHL. He had plenty of opportunities, he just doesn't have the skill. This is an AHL deal, none of the players will have a big NHL impact if any at all. A veteran d-man like Leach can help Albany.
