CRASHER
wow... well I wonder if this had anything to do with the three potential injuries we had last game.... could we see Parise with Kozlov and Langenbrunner maybe ??? that's prolly pushing it 9and for God's sake lou don't give him the number 17 it's a curse

Risky
Play for Albany? And I must say, this is the most I've been shocked since they fired Ftorek. Edited March 29, 2004 by Risky
halfsharkalligatorhalfman
so the ahl will be operating and nhl players can play in it?

sundstrom
the only way he's coming is if he's playing for NJ and they plan on using him in the playoffs.
SportsTalkRadio
Come on guys...give me a break with this thinking that they risk having him play at Albany NEXT season if he plays with the Devils THIS season. This isn't part of the equation here. Just maybe Lamoriello wants to win another cup...maybe the Devils are serious about repeating? Parise will be here...this is good. David Puddy
oooh. don't know how i feel about this. i'd have like to see him play more NCAA. if there's no NHL next year, can he play in the AHL? what numbers <30 are left? 1 - goalie number 3 - "untouchable", plus it's a d-man number 13 - you know lou 17 - open 21 - i'd put money on this one, since Parise wears 11 now... but suglobov wore it earlier in the season... does he have dibs, or was that just temporary? redruM
Maybe I'm crazy, but I think its far more important to this team to get Stevens and Rafi on the ice then it is Parise.... Devs can win w/out Parise, they are going no where w/ Stevens.... So Why the rush???

halfsharkalligatorhalfman
his development is more important than our chances at a cup this year, i assume this choice was made with his development in mind.
SportsTalkRadio
UNREAL! How about Stevens, Rafalski AND Parise? Would you take that scenario? Good grief!

DevilMinder
TSN and ESPN (or anyone else for that matter) have not confirmed. Granted this isn't a trade deadline buster or anything. I guess we have to wait for the slow Devils PR to act. Any NHL insiders here can pull some strings and inform us?

Sluggo wore 21 the 2 games he was up and if they plan to call him up again for the playoffs I'd be on him or Philman getting that number again (come to think of it one or the other did wear that number if not both ) the irony is I think we are all but out of numbers under
pattyelias
If this is true and Parise does come up and play tomorrow he should be able to shine (at least tomorrow) being that tomorrows competion isn't really that much of a step up from college. Z-Man
How much is he going to develop with another year in the NCAA? Probably not much. Bottom line, if you can get the kid to sign a contract, get him in ASAP. Gomez and Nieder started in their teens.....I would say they worked out okay.
