MantaRay
Not to assume that I can do this, but I think it would be fun to follow the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship with and NJD.com members pool Below is the link to the NCAA Ice Hockey tournment. We can do this on a point system: Correct picks in the first round: 1 point each team Correct picks in the second round 2 points each Correct picks in Semifinals: 3 points each team Correct Champion pick: 5 points. May the best forum member win!!! http://www.ncaasports.com/icehockey/mens/brackets/2005/DI

Rock
I'll give it a whirl: I've seen some college games some picks are from watching the teams, others are irrational likes/dislikes for coaches, teams etc. 1st Round Boston College North Dakota Cornell Minnesota Colorado College Michigan New Hampshire Denver 2nd Round Boston College Minnesota Colorado College Denver 3rd Round Minnesota Colorado College Champion Minnesota

PeteyNice
I seperated my picks out by region as I think it is easier to understand East Region: Boston College over Mercyhurst North Dakota over Boston University North Dakota over Boston College Northeast Region Univ of Denver over Bemidhi State UNH over Harvard Denver over UNH Midwest Region Colorado College over Colgate Michigan over Wisconsin Colorado College over Michigan West Region Minnesota over Maine Cornell over Ohio State Cornell over Minnesota Frozen Four Cornell over North Dakota Colorado College over Denver Colorado College Champion
Jas0nMacIsaac
Since I was so good in the playoff pool last year I will try my luck on the NCAA which I follow extremely close. Winners East: 1.) BC 3.) UND Northeast: 1.) Denver 2.) UNH Midwest: 1.) CC 3.) Wisconsin West: 4.) Maine 3.) Ohio State East Finals: 1.) BC NorthEast Finals: 1.) Denver MidWest Finals: 1.) Colorado College West: 4.) Maine Frozen 4: 1.) Denver 4.) Maine NCAA 1.) Denver
Jas0nMacIsaac
The games of the tourney: University of North Dakota vs Boston College This game smells classic, going into overtime before Brian Boyle wins it.
bruins4777
I'll take a stab at this...although i don't think i'll do very good...i'm never good at these things my bias and pride in various teams always gets in the way...meh East Region: Boston College over Mercyhurst Boston University over North Dakota Boston College over BU Northeast Region Univ of Denver over Bemidhi State UNH over Harvard Denver over UNH Midwest Region Colorado College over Colgate Michigan over Wisconsin Colorado College over Michigan West Region Minnesota over Maine Cornell over Ohio State Cornell over Minnesota Frozen Four BC over Cornell CC over Denver BC over CC Alright i just did this off of petey's, so i think i might have screwed up the seeding in the final four... alrighty i think this is fixed. PeteyNice
the Frozen Four isn't re-seeded, it is a straight bracket. The team from the East Region (i.e. North Dakota) will play the team from the West region (i.e. Cornell) and the NorthEast and MidWest winners meet. Here is the bracket (PDF): http://www.uscho.com/pdf/general/2005bracket.pdf And Bruins, if BU beats North Dakota then North Dakota wouldn't play BC. DevsRule
Wow I thought the BC UND would get split votes rather than BC getting almost all of them.
PeteyNice
Why? BC is ranked #2 in the country and has been pretty consistent all year. North Dakota, while hot right now, has been inconsistent all year. North Dakota beating BC< especially in BC's back yard, would be an impressive upset. An upset I picked but an upset nonetheless. MantaRay
UND was a tough choice NOT to take only because we seem to draft alot of good players out of that system the past few years. Not that we dont from BC, but the UND picks are usually higher.

UND has injuries too, but not to as key of players as BC. And yes it didnt matter in the HE playoffs, but Maine played them very tough, and it was just a poor showing by UNH. I would disregard BC playing in Worchester as their "backyard" yea the super fans may make the trip, but they are put out of the game real quick if BC gets behind.
