NYGDevils32
Two games now this week where the team just pokes the damn puck into the net when Marty already has it saved.
Devils79
I'll take the point but I'm not happy with this game at all. Sloppy sloppy sloppy
thelastonealive
Dammit! I thought we'd be seeing a shootout for sure, I don't think we've lost in overtime this year...
NJDevs4978
Color me not impressed. Against any other team (except Columbus and Phoenix) this is a regulation loss. I'm glad they didn't get the two points tonight, a serious wakeup call needs to be administered. If Julien had any guts he'd start Clemmensen Thursday even if only to send a fvcking message, but of course that's never going to happen especially since Marty's gotta go for the win record Oh and one other note...funny how Gomez looks so much more effective when people actually put the puck in the net after his passes. HellOnICE
I wouldn't put Clemmer in on Thursday. Why would you do that in Pittsburgh of all places? Sounds silly to me. Marty didn't play all that poorly tonight, I thought he had some fantastic saves.
LizDevil30
Putting in Clemmy isn't the wake up call they need. Marty wasn't the problem in this game. I so wanted the two points.
Devil Fan
No. Brodeur needs a rest and he gave up 11G in his last three matches. Time for change for sure.
HellOnICE
I don't think there is much you can do to "wake them up". They put some pucks in the net tonight, worked much harder than Boston on sunday. They need to tighten up a little bit in the back. If they have to win 0-0 on Thursday, they absolutely will do that.

NJDevs4978
They tried to score goals big whoop, they gave up 45 fvcking shots. They're trying to mentally lahdeedah their way through these games. Inexcusable not to put forth a strong effort tonight coming off the last two games. That Janssen cheap shot really fired up the team didn't it? Four straight losses for Marty to non-playoff teams. Vinnie
A couple more stinkers and they'll have to take Marty's name off the Vezina and start engraving L-U-etc.
HellOnICE
Anyone think of sending Andy down and bringing up Mark Fraser? At least he was physical, i think we need more of that.
msweet
We svck. The Janssen hit is a turing point. We are going to need a major event to turn it around.
SatansDevils
Well the season sweep is over as the Devils lose their first game to the lowly Flyers in overtime 5-4. Three game losing streak and four out of the last six games. The DEFENSE was bad tonight skating all around like they were lost. Oduya and Lukowich had one of their worst games as they were on the ice I think four out of the five goals scored including the game winner in overtime. Devils defense needs to tighten up here and play some Devils hockey. At least the Devils gained 1 point on Buffal and Pittsburgh was losing 4-1 in the third period in Ottawa, so that could be a 9 point lead going into Pittsburgh Thursday night. Devils need to beat Pittsburgh on Thursday night and get out of this mini slump right now.
Devil Fan
I think this team is in a slump similar to the west coast swing. Hopefully, a victory against the cooling pens will spark the team just like after the western visit.

LizDevil30
What 4 straight losses? Three. After his loss to Wash, Clemmy beat Wash, then Marty shut out Pitt and loss to TO, loss to Boston, loss tonight. EDIT: Has said non-playoff teams, but this time of year those teams are the most dangerous because they play with reckless abandon. NJDevs4978
I meant it the way it was written, four straight losses to non-playoff teams. The Pens are in the playoffs.
LOULAM1
Sit Gio until March 31st as we need him in April. Julien is scared to play a more physical game as he had a few chances to get this team united behind a good scrum that could have ignited the team during the 2nd period. Instead the team was hit by Hatcher, Richards and every other line that that was thrown at them during the first two periods. Grabbed a nice point tonight on enemy ice. Just wish Julien was prepared for the physical play and let them play attitude by the refs expected in a Devs/Flyers matchup. Julien wasn't prepared tonight.
