devilsrule33
Just when it looked like the sweep was about to happen Federov scores with 2 minutes left. 2-2 the score.

Derek21
Yeah, it was so great. Now you'll watch ESPN shove their Ducks down your throats. Enjoy Disney's cruel joke . Detroit was this year's Flyers.
westcoastdevfan
I could have sworn that Bill and Gary worked for the Red Wings. It was disgusting how they played up every thing the Wings did. I'm stoked the Ducks won. If the Devs can finish off the B's tomorrow, both teams will be a step closer to the Cup Finals. That means I'm one step closer to a Devils Stanley Cup game. SBT
Indeed, WCDF. The SBT is also one step closer to a Devils Stanley Cup game.
Rock
Both of your "one step closer" will be rendered moot if the Devils don't take care of the business at hand.

Nieuwy25
WCDF & SBT - I believe you two are mistaken . . . . I am one step closer to a Devils Stanley Cup game.
devilsrule33
Lets see the Stars beat the Oilers first NJDEV25.
Nieuwy25
They will, they will. Oilers blew their chance.
devilsrule33
Well it Looks like the Stars and Avs have easier paths then they expected to get to the third round. If the Stars win they will play the Duks and the Avs instead of playing Detroit will most likely play the Blues.
Nieuwy25
If the Stars do advance, I think it's safe to say that they won't take the Ducks lightly, so we'll see if Giguere can continue his magic in the 2nd round.
Zamode
I have to say I am pretty surprised by the sweep. I still think Dallas will clinch the West though . NJDev is not sending me money to say that
SueNJ97
further "commentary" on the Ducks sweep: http://home.istar.ca/~geoffm/infominister1.jpg btw, I heard that Chelios refused to shake hands with the Ducks. Anyone know if this is true?

E-Devil
Cudos to the Duck's management who decided this year to spend some more money to get better players and had it pay off(take note Sather!). I'm sure with the upset of the Red Wings and the extended tickets sales for the 2nd round it has paid off for them. And not just this year but I'm sure many people in Orange County are going to jump on the bandwagon and become duck fans. Who knows, they might even go out and acquire some more players and someday become a contender. Besides getting Sykora and Oates, I thought one of the smartest moves the organization did was get Carney a year earlier. He reminds me of Daneyko in his early 30s. SpeakoftheDevil(s)
that is sooo damn funny. a real classic. I hope someone holds on to that for a laugh six months from now. heck I just may do it.
SBT
btw, I heard that Chelios refused to shake hands with the Ducks. Anyone know if this is true? Unfortunately, this apparently was the case. Chelios shook hands with the Anaheim coaching staff, then headed off the ice without shaking hands with the Anaheim players. The SBT has always been a staunch supporter of Captain America, but this action reeked of poor sportsmanship. Absolutely inexcusable. Sad But True. Derek21
SBT... that's a despicable act by Chelios . I guess the baby couldn't get over the fact that Kariya and the Ducks were better. It couldn't happen to a bigger jerk.
SBT
It really is a shame about Chelios. A sure first-ballot Hall-Of-Famer when he retires. This seems such a far cry from the man that stepped up to take responsibility for his teammates' vandalism in Nagano.
DevilMinder
Sounds like it was a good game for the Ducks. To bad it was so late, I would have watched it. Chelios is retiring right? What a bad way to go out.
SBT
If Giggy keeps up this amazing play, no one will be able to beat the Ducks! Stars beware!!!
