M.
Next time maybe Marty should just take the puck & skate down the ice with it and take a shot & see if he could score. That'd make some you happy I guess? Our PP was bad. Our face-offs managed to be worse than our PP at horrible. New rule: all ice shows & concerts & crap need to be cancelled whenever it interferes with the quality of the ice for a Stanley Cup Finals game. The stupid ice show last night caused them to putz around with the ice all damn day. Rotten ice. I think the extra day off is better for us. Anaheim has momentum & hopefully, it will cool down a bit. Just no one read the paers for a few days, and we might be ok.
Dr. Death
I blame Marty for the economic problems in our country.

I hope Lou doesn't rip this team a new one, they're deflated already. And I hope Burns goes easy on them too. They must be very fragile right now. What they need is Nieuwy back to get the pumped and maybe a bone crushing hit from Stevens.

Z-Man
with the NBA playoffs starting do you seriulsy think the ice is gonna get any better in NJ?? There hasn't been any basketball in the CAA for almost 2 weeks. And the first Nets home game isn't until the weekend. The ice will be fine for Game 5. CaptainScotty
Anyone have the feeling that this one wasnt going to be the Devils night? I think the two day layoff is good, give these some time to slow it down and digest these two quick losses that anaheim has given em. Its not that they played really bad, its that they have played devoid of passion. I hope they get ripped in the media.

M.
Nets I can understand but it doesn't matter, but Champions on Ice? Ok- new revised rule: No extra events that require the use of the ice at all. Period.
minime
Speaking of the faceoff woes, what is Bobby Carpenter here for anyway if he can't teach these @#$% guys how to win a faceoff??? I always thought Bobby Carpenter sucked - you bring up a great point.
UVLightYears
I've had enough of Colin White. I used to think it was cool to see him doing shots of BlackHaus at the Harrison Avenue Tavern after games, but now, I'd rather him spend some time trying to emulate Stevens. What a waste White has become. He got smoked by Thomas at the blueline, and didn't follow him as he rushed towards the net to find the loose puck. Then, Bingo! Game over, and White lazily drifts towards to goal with his head down. Get him off the ice!
Dr. Death
Listen! This Ducks team is a very good team. They were not going to fold easily. As frustrated as Devils fans are, the Devils still have a shot. I think it's a good thing that the Devils got home-ice in the Finals. M.
ok- who's birthday is it going to be on Thursday? Anyone- I'll take volunteers.
CaptainScotty
put in dano for whitey.... settle that buck down. You know that putting Dano and Nieuw in the lineup will instill a whole sh!tload of passion into this team. Those guys maybe the only two left that are hungry... Interesting how White and Tver have switched positions on the sh!tlist.
CaptainScotty
why the fvck didnt they bring along nieuw for the trip? I think that was the first mistake, leaving them behind, thinking we are going to bag the ducks on their home ice. Excuse my language, its a bit foul.
njdevils783
Captainscotty, I like that idea dont think he would do it but it could work. They have gotta get White out of there fast. Nieuwendyk unless your back is broke in 2 get your butt in the lineup
M.
if traveling mega hours on a plane would hurt Joe & Turner more at this point in their recovery- leaving home was the best thing. They got a few extra days of treatment & rest and hopefully (please Lord) they will be able to play on Thursday.
NJayDevil
God damn White. He is officially back on the sh!t list. Out there tonight, out there Saturday night. He was the reason why we lost Game 6 vs. Ottawa, he's throwing himself out of position and he just throw himself back on that list that he was on for a good portion of his career. Step it up Colin, for god sakes, STEP IT UP!
Dr. Death
You know? It's just a game. This is not life and death. I am just thankful to watch a good hockey game.
LIDevsFan1
Blaming Marty is absurd---if anyone could score, we'd be talking about his THIRD SHUTOUT. Bottom line, they either didn't give a sh!t in this game or they got lulled into some false sense of superiority or entitlement. When Gionta is creating our best chances, we're in deep sh!t. Time to look forward. first of all the two days is good---the longer we can mentally put off the Anaheim fiasco the better. Second they looked tired and can use the rest. Second, time to put Daneyko in for Albelin. Not that Albelin played bad but we could use Kenny's (or anyone's) intensity. Third, leave Rupp in even if Turner does play. Take Bicek out---don't need him and Gionta. If Niewy can lace 'em up, he needs to play. Rafalski, WTF---some D'man needs a goal. Tvo has been out best offensive D'man this series. Time for a early Scott Steves cruncher. This is dangerous---Anaheim showed they belong so they're playing w/ house money now. If they don't bring it full on early on Th. were dead b/c the Ducks beleive
