O.k....I have my Corona we are all set!!

I expect a bunch of penalties tonight not b/c of undicipled play but b/c if anyone comes into Marty's crease our defense will make him pay....also...I think (hope) our guys will be crashing the net alot more; the refs will then start blowing the wistle to get the game under control. Ward had a day in the park the first game and we need to get alot more traffic. I feel this one will be LOW scoring. I'm DYING to see how the Devils respond.

LET'S GO DE-VILS!!

GO DEVILS!!

Here's my take on game 1.

The Devils never showed up for this game. Their passing was horrid, their forecheck was terrible, their transition game never showed up.

Marty looked flater than flat. Ward was not tested at all, I dont give him credit on Gionta's save as being a great save. Watch the replay, even if he missed it it wouldnt have even registered as a SOG. Shots that hit the side of the net by a foot dont count as shots on goal. I wouldnt be surprised if he even got credit for a save.

I expect to see a much different Devils team show up tonight.

One thing I did notice about Ward was how cocky he seemed in game 1. The kid was never tested but he made it seem like HE was the reason they won the game. Far from the truth. Two orange cones could have been in net for the Canes on Saturday and they still would have won. He was not the reason, not even close.

This loss was a long time coming for the Devils. They went 41 days without losing a game. So I dont sweat it too much. A loss was bound to happen. Now lets hope the Devils rebound and get back to their former form.

It's not that the Devils lost, it's how they lost.

I didn't realize yours was a game thread. You did not title it correctly.

How am I suppose to title it, for next time? What is the official, approved, and preferred msweet format?

I want to make sure I follow all policies and procedures according to all NJDEVS moderators and admins.:P

I conditionally forgive you. If they win tonight we're cool. If not, well I just don't know how you can wiggle your way out of the doghouse.

So the Devils better win tonight or I screwed.

:pray:PLEASE DEVILS WIN, PLEASE DEVILS WIN!!! or patty is going to keep me in the doghouse.:P

BOW WOW!!! RUFF RUFF!!! :koolaid:

That was not a very nice response especially after I modified your "game thread title " and moved it to the top.

Look at the format of every game thread and use something similiar. Your game thread did not include any info on the game and thus did not seem as a game thread.

I know that. :D I was just having little fun. No meaness intended. I think I or we are all a little anxious and nervous for the Devils and it's taking a toll. It's playing havoc on our judgement. :noclue: Everything is so cloudy, but after a Devils victory, everything will clare up.

I just realized I have 999 posts, so I thought it might be fitting to use post number 1000 to give cheer to Devils and hope it brings them luck:

LETS GO DEVILS :hail:

Shake that rust and remember less then a month ago, Patrik Elias and company was able to move in and out around the Carolina defense and make plays with ease. Lets start to see that again.
