Larsson played 27:29 tonight and Andy played 26:27. Man that is some crazy ice time for both of them.

Can we get these numbers for the first 2 periods only? That 6v5 had to have some adverse effects to those numbers.

I went to the game last night so I'll give a summary of what I saw. The player greeting event was nice. I got signatures from Greene, Palmieri and Schneider. I'm just missed out on getting Henrique. And I'm sad I didn't get to see Zacha or Patty. For the game side of things, I really liked what I saw from Blandisi, Boucher and Quinneville. All three had some really nice passing and positioning throughout the game. Kinkaid was pretty much lights out throughout the night. A lot of really nice saves. On the first goal he let in it was a 3 on 5 where a cross ice pass made it through and gave the shooter an open shot from the slot on an open net. Kinkaid almost made it back across but he really didn't have much of a chance on this one. For the second goal, Pietila attempted a backhand pass to no-one really and whiffed it. This left the puck for Barzal right at the slot for a 1 on 1 with Kinky. Barzal roofed it into the right corner of the net. No chance. Can't blame Kinkaid for either of these goals. Boucher really had a nice game. Some nice passing as well as a few good shots. He was also crashing the net a few times and narrowly missed some redirections. On his goal: I'm not sure who shot it but Williams (Isles goalie) left a juicy rebound right in the crease. Boucher had a really nice falling 360 swipe at it which put it past the right pad and in. Blandisi's goal: Stole the puck at the blue line from a bad pass durring the PK. He's got some nice speed. Its been a while since other teams havn't been able to catch up to a Devil. I was on the wrong side of the ice but it looked like a backhander through the five hole to finish. Moore's goal: A nice one timer from the point. Once again on the wrong side of the ice to see it fully but it looked like it snuck under the left pad. I'm seeing a lot of similarities between Zid's game and Moore's, and its not just because Moore is wearing #2. Quick, some good puck handling skills and a hard shot. Cammy's goal: As much as Gio can get sh!t on here, he really is fully responsible for this one. He groud out the puck in the corner, brought it up to the point and tossed a soft shot at Williams. Cammy picked it up right before it got to Wiliams who had dropped into the butterfly to block the shot. Cammy was able to sneak it past the right pad. PK was lookin pretty good. The PP was 50/50. It was strange, when they got it set up, the PP looked dangerous. A lot of quick passing leading to a redirectable pass/shot through the crease. I was getting really tired of people yelling "SHOOT IT". God damn, let the PP develope. For every PP where they would get a bunch of chances and some really nice passing there would be one that would completely sputter and die in the neutral zone. Definitely some work needed on zone entry but I think its coming along pretty well. The stadium really was empty. I've never seen it so barren. I guess the Pope shenanigans and the fact that its still preseason drew people away but I really did expect more people for a Friday game. New goal song, Its pretty plain if you ask me. Not a fan, but not against it. People are trying to fit in the "You suck" chant in. Nobody is going to be able to stop it. Some guy brought in a trumpeted vuvuzela and did a pretty good R&R Pt2 after each goal which got a pretty loud "You suck" chant going from the crowd. I actually liked this, it feels pretty natural as a chant and nobody has to pay a convicted child molester for song rights. Also a trumpeted vuvzela is a pretty crazy self made invention. I guess the guy cut a vuvzela in half and was able to change the tone by shortening or lengthening the vuvzela by moving the cut half back and forth. Overall a really great game to be at.

Oh wow, we actually looked pretty good on that pp. I guess all they needed was to practice it.

Anybody know a good place to send in a jersey to get the name plates and numbers and such sewn on? I've been contemplating sending my Andy Greene Jersey in to get it sewn up since everything is just glued on and the name plate is starting to fall off.

He wasn't but after the game the players were throwing signed pucks into the crowd. I guess they had him sign one earlier in camp so that it could be tossed to the crowd. The two little kids next to me got Severson and Zacha. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit jealous of them.

The event yesterday was great. I was able to get Severson's and Quenneville's signature on my hat as well as a Reid Boucher signed puck. One of the players I noticed a lot was Chatham. He had a few good offensive zone entries an a handful of really nice cross ice passes. I was told after the scrimmage that the ice was really bad and it seemed to me like the puck was bouncing a bit more than usual so I I kind of believe it. Also I filmed the scrimmage if anybody was interested in watching it. I'll give a warning; I'm no cameraman and this is from my phone but I think it actually came out relatively ok.
