msweet
They sent about 40 security guards at the end of the 3rd to the top of 241 to watch over and ejecxt the numerous drunk and out of control Phailure fans... was more entertaining than watching the game on that horrible ice. LizDevil30
Devils win!!! Brodeur is now 2nd all-time in WINS & tied for 3rd all-time in SHUTOUTS ... To celebrate I'll share this rare clip that I uploaded. EDIT: It was actually 3rd all-time in shutouts Great find! Thanks so much!
NJDevs4978
We'll seel out when the Rangers are in town. And the Devils haven't faced them at home yet. The Devils didn't sell out for the Rangers last year. There won't be a sellout till maybe the second round of the playoffs, unless the Devils play the Rangers again in Round 1, or Lou suddenly decides to retire another number. 14,000 on a Friday night against the Flyers (with probably the usual 1-2,000 Flyer fans) would be scary except for the fact that at least we're getting the hell out of CAA finally after this year. msweet
Notes on the game: White played drunk... he should have been benched for the stupid plays and turnovers. Raffi seemed to play less than usual Oduya and White were our best pair. Luko was suffering on the slow ice 4th line is a waste..bring back Cam.. at least he is fun and intimidating. Checking line was awesome...Brylin had a great game Still think Elias should be with Gomer and Gionta Marty was as good as I've seen him. He is the best in the game, day in, day out. And why does it always seem the Gomez, Gionta and Parise go out, the D pair is Luko-Hale... which is painful to watch. I saw one get "escorted"out. Not as funny as when 6 NJ State Troopers "escorted" a Flyer fan out by carrying him on their shoulders from the top of the upper deck at the arena. Rock
It was great seeing all the 87-88 highlights. Brought back a lot of memories, Of course they didn't mention the Koharski incident on the video board. Now I have an actual photograph to replace the cardboard one they gave out back then. American_Psycho
Not a very exciting game to be at, but it's always great to beat Philly. Sick performance from Marty as usual. I feel bad for Rupp though. He seemed to continue playing better than average and still couldn't cash in on two empty nets Nittymaki played up to the task as well. Too bad his team looked dead on the ice. Oh, and those chants were hilarious .

We sold out at least two Ranger games last year. I was at 2 and i looked at the attendance the next day and they both said 19,

devils102
Ice time for the D-men:Lukowich 21:22 Martin 21:09 Oduya 20:59 White 20:14 Rafalski 18:40 Hale 13:42 Interesting. Rafalski has been playing a lot less lately. Is it a coincidence that he has 6 points and is plus 2 in the last 5 games?
Devil Fan
Interesting. Rafalski has been playing a lot less lately. Is it a coincidence that he has 6 points and is plus 2 in the last 5 games? Lukowich's ice time increased and that means the team is probably showing the most of him. As for Rafalski, he deserved a break because I still think he logs too many ice-time.
'7'
This was a snoozer all the way, both teams playing passive, only goals coming on the powerplay. No emotion from either teams, no rough stuff, no fights.

MantaRay
Interesting. Rafalski has been playing a lot less lately. Is it a coincidence that he has 6 points and is plus 2 in the last 5 games? No coincidence. Early in the season we only had three healthy defensemen which meant Rafalski, White and Martin were being overplayed with altered roles. Now that everyone is healthy and we aren't playing Fahey, Brooks etc we can redistribute the ice time and have players play to their strengthts.. Don
Pftt. Highlight of the night was Nittimayki's save. I thought Brodeur's was better. The Flyer forward was in closer and had a better angle.

Rock
I don't know whether it's because we expect the great saves from Marty, but I thought Nittimayki's was better also. That glove came nowhere!
Rock
Did ya hear the LAST PLACE FLYERS chant ??? and more important... the 3rd periof chant of STILL OUR BITCHES!!!! that was like the greatest chant EVER!! 217-218 Yes, I heard the "Last Place Flyers".
