Risky
The call on Brylin was CRAP compared to the trip they let go on Nieuwendyk in the neutral zone. More uneven officiating.
sundstrom
cannot just sit back for the 3rd. 'ning are gonna bring it all. devils need to pressure khabi. 14 shots through 2 periods is not enough
SpeakoftheDevil(s)
Stevens is clearly not himself in the first two. tenative in the corners, soft/if any hits, and dribbled a few dangerous passes, one that could have cost us the lead.
Zamode
Something isn't clicking and they need to get somebody in front of the net. Khabi looks a little shaky and a nice bounce could go in. 2-1 is too close to play like this.
CMaGee
They finally get Elias and Gomez going. And now Madden and Langs have been quiet offensivly. Let's bring it all together. Defense hasn't been great, but it's been sound. Breaking up passes and blocking shots is key. They are doing so. Stop turning it over. And Marty looks good. Another penalty! Pepperkorn
I'll have to watch the replay at 1:30. But Chico & Doc too are making Stevens sound like he's playing well...
devilsrule33
Madden had a two on with I believe Langenbrunner and he just took a slapshot way out. I know he had to get off the ice but that could have made the score 3-1.
CMaGee
He didn't look good in his first couple of shifts. But he's gotten better as the game wore on. He has made some uncharacteristic turnovers. But has erased them with a block shot or poke check. He's logging a ton of icetime.

SpeakoftheDevil(s)
Lets make note of how well Neids played tonight. Skated unbelievably well, and created some chances. Im not looking to start a debate over who is the best Devil, but Neids gets my vote. The guy is simply amazing.
Risky
Stevens +3 1 Goal 27:35 ice time whoa.
Zamode
That's alot of ice time. He came through and had some bad plays but overall he was good, lots of hustle in the third even though nothing else got past Khabi. Some good hits by Dirk, I mean Friesen even. Not the strongest game but they came through, Elias and Gomex came back big when needed.
CMaGee
Well I've never liked him too much, but Tommy Abalin has been solid. Good move by Burns to scratch Oleg and put him in. The defense all around was very good.
Beck27
Third period was total Devil domination, they must have had 6 or 7 two on ones. Great to see Elias and Gomez fianlly put one in. Gomer was also the best player on the ice tonight. Just when I thought Gionta plays his worst period ever (1st) he comes out and plays the best I've seen him all season in the second and third periods...another thing that was great to see. Overall, the majority of the Devils forwards were really moving tonight, the best they have all series in my opinion. Am I crazy for thinking maybe Tommy has earned the 6th spot at least for now? Hopefully they can wrap it up on Friday and get a nice long rest again, as the other series looks like it's going seven. Oh yea, almost forgot, Stevens is an absolute warrior. Words don't do justice for what this guy brings to the team.
Pepperkorn
As if it's some sorta surprise he's wonderful? HAHAHA! My husband just said "What is he holding his ear on?" as Stevens was keeping his earpeice in for the ESPN post-game! ok, well it was funny and not at all insensative at the time
