BlueSkirt
Since the "A" Line was destroyed by Lou Lamoriello Hmmm, I seem to remember that this "destruction" resulted in a Stanley Cup for the Devils.
LizDevil30
This guy just oozes hatred for the Devils. I cringe at every word he writes. The everyone is calling it the EGG line, but he refuses then has to make a dig about the name being goose egg line. They don't score in ONE freaking game and the world is coming to an end. Call him chicken little and may a big fat egg land on his head.
Jerrydevil
If you wade through all of (N)Єverson's egotistical BS, I agree with the overall theme of the story. Burns could be playing with fire by toying with this new line that has scored a ton of goals lately. He should be careful.
NJD Jester
Goal Every Game line. Not bad. C'mon! It's gotten to the point where no one had a clue what the %@% Neverson was talking about, so he has to explain what the GEG Line is within the article! EGG Line rocks. It makes sense. It's the obvious choice. If Danton Cole, Dave Andreychuk, and Steve Thomas were on a line, and it kicked all kinds of ass, it'd be the CAT Line. It just has to be. Except for tools like Neverson, who would call it the ATC (Attack the Crease) line. <JESTER>

msweet
(N)Єverson is correct. This line should be playing on the pp. Everytime I see Marshall out there, I wince. Marshall ain't no Todd Bertuzzi in front of the net.
Jerrydevil
It's ridiculous that Gionta isn't getting many power play minutes. Is he even getting ANY?
Elias Sports Bureau
(N)Єverson is correct. This line should be playing on the pp. Everytime I see Marshall out there, I wince. Marshall ain't no Todd Bertuzzi in front of the net. The lack of respect Marshall gets is incredible. This isn't just toward one person, I've been kind of festering on it since I returned. The first power play unit with Marshall on it HAS tallied. The second one... I don't remember any goals from that one in about a month. He does the job there. He does exactly what he's asked. Did you wince in the triple OT game and Eastern Conference Finals final too? No, he's not Todd Bertuzzi. But he works very very hard for us and he has more talent than he's ever given credit for here. I was talking to a nouveau Devils fan the other day who just started watching all the games this year and he listed Marshall as one of his favorite players on the team because of how he works, his energy and his heart. Too bad it's rarely seen or acknowledged here.
msweet
It's ridiculous that Gionta isn't getting many power play minutes. Is he even getting ANY? And everyone, including Bruns always says he goes to the net and takes the punishment. Marshall is so slow to the net, we loose the puck half of the time by the tiome he gets there. I want him on our team come this years playoffs. In the regular season, he lacks the skill to be our 1st line RW, and that's where Burns insists on sticking him. He too slow for that line and he loses offensive control way too much and he misses too many chances. He's a 3rd/4th line RW and should get some time on our 2nd pp play unit. Elias Sports Bureau
Maybe he should go to the second power-play unit to give it a boost. Because that's the unit that's been near pathetic and invisible. The top line has been pretty much our scoring go-to guys all season and Marsh made some amazing passes as part of that. I certainly don't think we need to switch to him right now while the small guys are swarming around on that line, but we could -- and have been -- doing a LOT worse on other lines. Elias Sports Bureau
marshall is a healthy but poor man's turner stevenson I disagree with this as well. I don't have a problem with either of them, I love them to death. But Marshall can finish stronger and his vision on the ice is better. Yeah Turner holds up to more. That's his job. That's why both of them are of great use to us.
Jerrydevil
Marshall's a stiff that should be getting fourth-line minutes. He can show his heart for less than 10 minutes per game, and none of those minutes should be on the PP. This is not Randy McKay, who deserved PP time, we're talking about here. Jas0nMacIsaac
Marshall is not an offensive player and there is no reason why he should be on the powerplay....and don't give me that physical pressence in front of the net garbage, Ottawa, Detroit, and Colorado don't stick a big 4th liner on their powerplay units. msweet
Why in the middle of a relevant discussion about our pp, Marshall, and stuff (N)Єverson brought up are we having a childish fight? I'm going to delete all non-relevant posts if this keeps up. OK I just did... let's stick to the hockey discussion. I agree.... except if your pp is not skillful. Then you hope to score the only way it is possible, and that is off a deflection. MArshall can play on the 2nd unit. WHo else for us? Everyone is always compared to someone else to prove or disprove theories. It's not necessary. Randy McKay... at the height of his talent... is not on this team. I don't really see a lot of scoring machines out there. I'd rather have someone with heart out there who really, really wants it. He does the job. He goes to the net, he blocks the view. We've gotten power-play goals off it. What's the problem here? Again, let's talk about the second power-play unit and how ineffective they are. If we wanna keep G on the top unit and put Marsh on the second so he can help, well, I'll be for that. But there's no blame to be had in his play on the unit.
