Weekes Head
According to the NewJerseyDevils.com Roster, Ryznar is currently with the Devils. http://www.newjerseydevils.com/2005/html/theteam/roster.php In 41 games with the Rats this season, Ryznar has posted 4 goals and 14 assists for 18 points and has skated at a -1. sandman441
gomez should be happy to have another alaska buddy on board. I'm about 80% 100% sure on this and will hopefully find out tonight but I think my brother also coached Ryznar. I don't know him though I don't think I ever met him. insanity_gallops
Neat. Seems like he could become a Marshall-type player at the NHL, given his style of play.
thefiestygoat
Minor league experts: What is this guys potential? I hope we play him more than what Suggy got.
UnderDogX
Numbers-wise and just the situation we are in it seems like he's probably very Marshall-like...just my assumption because I don't even know the guy but that would be my best guess...seems like Lou thinks we can win with what we have...a part breaks get a copy of the part in there until the parts fixed...I still say we need someone who can score but aahhh wellllll....we'll see what he can do.... ANYONE but Langdon
Voros19
I would say Ryznar is just a bigger Pandolfo. His ceiling for point-production is a little higher than Pando, but other than that, they are very similar. Both apt penalty killers, both take the body quite a bit, both work extremely hard, both team players, etc. EDIT: I would also say Ryznar's hands are better than Pandolfo. He can stickhandle a bit. I think this is a solid call-up. I really would like the see Clarkson get a shot, though. I can just imagine he and Janssen on the fourth line. Belizarius
Ryznar is a better fit than Suglobov I think. There's no room for Suglobov on a scoring line so he was scratched. Ryznar is a 3rd-4th liner at this point so he could replace the injured Marshall.
overtime98
they want Suggy to play in the AHL all star game......... Maybe after that he will be in the Devils lineup.

SC Devs Fan
Thank God... we were running woefully short of third and fourth liners... Thankfully we have Mogilny wasting away...

GA Devil
Thanks to the FOX College Sports package, I got to eyeball Jason a few times last year in Michigan. All I saw, and all the announcers ever seemed to see, was Ryznar's work along the boards. He is the type of guy who comes out with the puck if there is a scrum up against the wall. Other than that, he seems to be right near average (for an NHL'er) in every other category.

Devils731
Seems to me a good line would have been some combination of Ryznar/Kozlov/Suglobov then.
Risky
Seems to me a good line would have been some combination of Ryznar/Kozlov/Suglobov then. They should put Ryznar up with Kozlov and Parise. Brylin can't be in a 2nd line scorer position because, well, he sucks at it.

devils102
Should be interesting to see what our lines look like tonight. On another note, does anyone know how all these guys that keep getting called up are affecting our cap?

On another note, does anyone know how all these guys that keep getting called up are affecting our cap? We are now well under the cap and these guys all make the minimum or close to it. As far as where we really stand... that depends on how one calculates Malakhov's salary.

Weekes Head
BTW, this was in the NewJerseyDevils.com pregame notes: New Jersey Devils Injuries, Transactions The Devils do not have any injuries to report at this time. Total man-games lost to injury/illness: 32. Yesterday, the Devils recalled left wing Jason Ryznar from Albany (AHL), while reassigning right wing Aleksander Suglobov back to Albany. I duno, paired with the correct linemates, I can see Ryznar doing well offensively. He and Tallackson were absolutely flying earlier this season. He certainly has some offensive skills. He must work to hone them, though.
