Marshall
He hinted about being called up last night and now it's gone. This is bullcrap.

RowdyFan42
Indeed. Once again Lou sticks his nose where it doesn't belong.
aLowDrudge
You know Lou met him at the door with an angry face asking him "What do you enjoy more, your twitter account or being in the Devils organization?"
Meals on Wheels
You know what, this was very predictable! I feel bad for Mike because he's a cool guy and obviously he got the call last night and he was super excited. So what does he do, he posts an indication of what was going on and TG and other fans realize what he is indicating. Not that big of a deal of course but this breaks policy big time for the Devils and I bet they made him delete it...
elias2600
I think it's perfectly justified for the devils to ask/make him stop posting on twitter. I don't go around talking about all the details of what the company I work for does to everyone on the internet, whether harmless or not. If he had made a twitter account and posted purely personal stuff on there, that's one thing, but he went beyond that.
Mitico12
The New Jersey Devils social networking policy has now kicked in my friends. Gotta love it.
Quinn01
Does this have anything to do with Ray Rice (NFL Player) twittering on his account how he got out of a ticket when he offered a police officer an autograph and got a warning instead of a ticket? Article As a professional athlete at this stage, everything you say can get you in to trouble and with the way things are going with the Devils right now, they dont need any more on their plate. Devilsfan118
Probably just precautionary, I doubt lou had a problem with him tweeting that he was being called up. But who knows, maybe mike would've tweeted something a little more sensitive in the future.
hystyk28
It's too inside information. For various reasons. Gamblers LOVE this kind of info. Last year on a gambling message board a buddy of Corey Crawford said he was definately starting, despite Quinnville's insistence that Niemi was starting. Needless to say Crawford started. I opted to go with what Quennville said and wouldn't ya know it Crawford startedand lost. Edited November 10, 2010 by hystyk28
Devils731
This all started when PL3 said he was called to the NHL before it had been announced.

Quinn01
The fact that nothing is private and for someone that is up and coming may not know the line very well. Learn from his dumb mistake and just cut off the twitter.

If he had made a twitter account and posted purely personal stuff on there, that's one thing, but he went beyond that. True... Also, I think it makes him look too excited and too rookie-ish. At the end of the day, Lou doesn't want all the 9 rookies that have played their first games diminishing the toughness and honor it is to play in the NHL with the high school mentality of social networking and Tweeting all about it. It's a different sport than football and basketball. I know he's not a kid but it is a rookie's mistake.... No big, though!
