DJ Eco
I'm seeing Devils predicted 2nd or 3rd in almost every website... Pretty wild...
Colorado Rockies 1976
I'm seeing Devils predicted 2nd or 3rd in almost every website... Pretty wild... Probably all based on Schneider starting 65+ games and being a Vezina finalist (which is definitely possible).

Devilsfan118
Posting this before I read anything - I hope the Devils are predicted for dead last. Let's see.. Edit: Damn it. We're doomed. Edited September 29, 2014 by Devilsfan118
BlueSkirt
I think we're a playoff bubble team until I see otherwise...I'd love to be more optimistic but I just do not yet see us improving much from last year. Schneider has seemed to be streaky and is entering uncharted territory with the numbers of games he's expected to start. I'm not saying we'll be bad, its just unknown at this time
CarpathianForest
We'll win the Stanley Cup and draft Connor McDavid. Book it!

Onddeck
just saw this on espn.com, predicting a breakout year for Henrique. http://espn.go.com/nhl/preview2014/story/_/id/11588341/2014-15-nhl-season-preview-five-players-teams-surprise getting love from espn?? DJ Eco
I think this is mostly because of how bad the Metro (and East, even) still is this year, whereas the Devils, and maybe the Blue Jackets are the only team who have made any measure of improvement to their rosters. devlman
Wow, this must be the first time in 4 years they haven't predicted to finish in 27th in the league Thank the increased usage of possession metrics. If that wasnt around or not widely understood, as it wasnt ten-fifteen years ago, then we'd be predicted to finish dead last like every other year

Pittsburgh Penguins New York Rangers New Jersey Devils Columbus Blue Jackets Washington Capitals New York Islanders Philadelphia Flyers Carolina Hurricanes I see the Blue Jackets finishing ahead of the Devils this season. The Islanders should be much improved and the Capitals could be just as good as if not better than NJ.
