SBT
Only a couple minutes left to squeeze in a prediction. The slumping Bruins have no chance tonight. Devils win 5-1. Note to self: remove Grahame from starting goaltender position in NJay's fantasy hockey league.
DevilMinder
LOL SBT. I have a feeling it will be a blowout as well.
GetReal
Pando the offensive flash scored a goal on a Bruins breakdown 1st period has ended Devils 1-0. Devils 0 for 1 on PP Game on NESN.
SBT
Pandolfo rocks. Don't you mean Bruins 0 for 1 on PP? On Yahoo, it appears that the only penalty in the period went to Elias.
GetReal
yes, re: PP Madden hit it in off Pando's leg.
BlueSkirt
Marty has a lot of energy tonight...I say a shutout may be possible...time will tell.
GetReal
Grosek went after Stevens, everyone 5 on 5 onto ice for a fight, sp now 4 on 4. Bruins outshot Devils so far in 2nd 4-
drew
Berglund stook up for Stevens, might wanna mention that.
GetReal
yeah, forgot toi mention, that Berglund stuck up for stevens, the Boston announcers thought he should have gotten a penalty as well. Marty has stopped 15 or 16 shots, doing well, stopped some good shots from Thornton. still Devils 1-
GetReal
Marty sharp, looking great. Devils on PP.
GetReal
Bruins are much more aggressive during the 2nd period, many more shots by Bruins against Devils this period. 2nd period over still 1-0 devs
GetReal
Devils WIN 1-0 Marty should be #1 Star. He singlehanded earned the Shutout, made many great saves, outstanding saves in 3rd period.
BlueSkirt
Allright.. another zero for Marty. there ain't gonna be no goal with 1.7 seconds left like when that fvck Kovalchuk scored for Atlanta. Congrats Marty
Z-Man
Awww...poor Boston announcers spent the whole game bitching about how "ugly" the game was. Not as ugly as those 3rd jerseys that Boston wears. Hope you enjoyed the 1-0 loss, guys!
Nieda
wooooooooooooooooooooo!! we wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NJDevs4978
Now that's a 1-0 game I can take anyday Storybook ending for Pando getting the game winner, even if it was off his thigh and not his stick One scoring question: Why did Pando get the goal tonight and Niewy not get the OT goal against Washington? That puck did hit Niewy right? Similar play to tonight's goal. Or maybe the official scorer ruled it didn't hit him?
'7'
this game was a sleeping pill. the NHL needs to get its act together or risk being phased out completely, it's already happening with ESPN.
BlueSkirt
ZZZZZZ ??? A great game for every Brodeur fan out there ! Devs were committed to giving the Bruins nothing. I saw a lot of team spirit out there. No individuals tonight.

Risky
Great team defensive effort. Marty was DAMN sharp out there. Elias, Niewendyk and Langenbrunner all had very, very close calls on putting one home. This was our best defensive game of the season. If you can put together a playoff run with this kind of tight, patient defense, you have a 1995-ish Devils squad. This game puts us on pace for almost 45 wins this year. That'd be fantastic. Here's hoping Marty finally gets his Vezina. Let's hope for a 10 shutout year from him.
