SC Devs Fan
MOTTAU: DEVILS READY FOR RANGERS http://www.nypost.com/seven/04042008/sport...gers_104987.htm "We're ready to play whomever, but it would be nice to make up for the games we didn't win (0-4-3 so far) during the season by beating them in the playoffs," Mike Mottau said. In what could be a playoff preview, the Rangers and Devils meet in Sunday afternoon's season finale in Newark, the Devils' last chance to put an end to the Rangers' stranglehold on them this year. Martin Brodeur admits the Rangers' dominance matters, at least until the second season starts. "It's a big deal for everyone until you play. Then it becomes a chance to redeem yourself," Brodeur said. "Deep down, it would be a big challenge for us. Great motivation, do or die against your biggest rival. And a really tough series." NJCroMag
Time to write the perfect ending... Series goes seven games. Game 7 goes into double-OT. Mike Mottau scores the game-winner on a wrap-around. Doc's call: "MOT-TAU! MOT-TAU! MOT-TAU! MOT-TAU!" Hey, I can dream, can't I?
TomsRiverDevil
Even though they beat us 7 times so far, I think that rangers stink. They will lose horribly, and we will sweep them again. GO DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My students Steven and Kayla think that Brodeur rocks, and they don't like Hope because she is a Flyers fan. Boo her. Exit56
I'd say we're more likely to have mottau deflect it into our own net, unfortunately...
Brad
Honestly at this point I'd just assume let the rangers go 8-0 regular season and then sweep them out of the playoffs. Again.

Remember the Madden goal at the end of the period in the '06 playoffs?

BRING IT ON! The regular season means nothing! Playoffs is a different animal. No fear towards the NYR at all.

Jerrydevil
Not if Brookbank hits him with a shot and put's him out for the series. God, that's definitely one guy who needs to be in a suit and tie come playoff time.
