Devs4LIFE
Hurray for seeing Swift on the roster, boo the fact that there is no Bergfors or Vrana...that bothers me that they aren't on there. Not that this roster means anything.

DevilNurn
Very interesting...I didn't know we actually signed Matthew Spiller. Surprised to see Zharkov, Swift, Wiseman and Snetsinger on there, along with Jay Leach. Although it looks like this is just a carbon copy of the list on the NHL.com players page, plus a few other prospects. This doesn't even look like a realistic list of who'll be at camp. So I wouldn't worry about it. But yeah, does anyone know what the deal is with Matthew Spiller? Contract details? On hockeybuzz it says that he's a UFA so he might just accidentally be in the Devils system. Either way .475 is what he made last year if we actually had him, it'd be somewhere around there. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/cap-central/freeagents.php Edited August 26, 2008 by DevilNurn

Shtikl
Somebody else is excited about training camp! It's a partial t/c roster for Newark and Lowell, I suppose there will be a few changes before the first pre-season game. VV's still there. Hm, Spiller's there, too. I wonder if they just invited him on a PTO since they didn't announce anything. (Or did I miss it?)

thelastonealive
I didn't even know we signed Clemmensen again That did happen - admittedly one of the few things we were on top of over at 2MA this summer, in fact. I still contend that Spiller only thinks he's a Devil because the NJ logo and the Prudential Center roof

Yeah, I think this is in keeping with NHL.com meshing with the individual team sites more than a roster of who is going to stick with the team or not. Prucenterrules
Yeah, I think this is in keeping with NHL.com meshing with the individual team sites more than a roster of who is going to stick with the team or not. Most likely.

thelastonealive
Federov and Rupp are sharing #17? I read somewhere that NHL's website automatically gives players the last number they wore, which is why both Holik & Zubrus were listed as 16 on the Devils site for awhile.
