matcat1116
Considering the implications, I'd bet there are for more Devils fans rooting for the Islanders tonight than there are Islander fans.
David Puddy
Sabres up 1-0. Bruins looking decent though.

Devil Fan
Come on Bruins and Islanders....put up some fight. ...So do the Sens, who are down 2-0 to the Bolts. Meanwhile, it is 4-2 Pens now in the igloo. Edited April 9, 2010 by Devil Fan
threestars
Sens couldn't really give a crap right now. 5th is a lock. This Tampa game is getting a little out of hand.
threestars
More fight required Islanders. Try harder.
Devil Fan
Buffalo is losing to B's 3-1 late 3rd and should make the Flyers-Rangers series more meaningful. Looks like the Pens will win as they're leading 6-
threestars
Woot, Bruins win! With the Bruins' win, philly is in 8th, 2 points ahead of rangers, and they (Philly-Rags) have a home-and-home against each other to close their seasons. Exciting stuff. Go Flyers (euw, I have to go shower now).
Devil Fan
Deja-vu, habs face the Leafs on Saturday and like 3 years ago, they need just one tiny little point that could be the biggest of the season... Bruins win and jump to 6th...
Devil Fan
Today's elimination/clinching scenario: A loss for the Avs (OT or not) mean they'll finish 8th or the Wings get a point or more from Columbus. The big one: Both Habs and Flyers will clinch if the Rangers lose (OT or not). Boston will clinch if the Rags lose in regulation. skullsmasher
Realistically, the Flyers can end the Ranger season today.
Devils731
Wow, how does Voros take a penalty after the Rangers give up a goal less than a minute in? Ah, Rangers broadcast team already explaining how the high sticking call was "sold" by Carcillo.

Random Poster
Jody Shelley...unbelieveable. Flyers aren't winning this game or tommorrow. They don't have the goaltending to pull this off.

Triumph
Would anyone still rather play the Rangers over the Flyers? i don't think there's a real difference, and one period isn't going to decide things for me.
Sickman
Both teams stink. I don't want the Devils to face either team, not so much that I'm worried about an upset, but more because the 1st round will become a complete circus if they play either team. That holds true even more for the Rangers. Edited April 10, 2010 by Sickman
Amberite
i don't think there's a real difference, and one period isn't going to decide things for me. It's not one period, just look at their last 2-3 weeks. The Rangers are motivated and they feed off their loud fans. They have a very good goalie who can steal games. Their bottom two lines are stepping up in a huge way and contributing with every shift. The Flyers are pretty one-dimensional in comparison. On paper, the Rangers suck ass. But everything is going right for them right now, and I wouldn't want them in the playoffs.

You have to remember that a big reason why this game is even important for the Rangers tonight is because the Devils failed to convert enough against them and made some dumb mistakes the last time they played. I mean New Jersey just dominated the Rangers that night, and the prior game as well. I really wouldn't worry about this team. I don't disagree with most of this except the bolded...they've actually been pretty shaky at home this year. Even now most of this great streak they've had has been on the road.
