sheeps
What the lines look like according to NHL.com's shift chart: Gionta Elias Gomez Rasmussen Berglund Rupp Pandolfo Langenbrunner Madden Brylin Friesen Larionov Stevens Rafalski Niedermayer White Brown Albelin Brodeur in goal. Anybody actually watching the game, feel free to correct me/verify this information.
sheeps
First Goal: Friesen, assisted by Brylin and White Second Goal: Pandolfo, assisted by Madden and Langenbrunner So far 15-12 in shots, Devils-Isles. njdevils783
I kind of expected the power play to start falling back to earth, was to good to be true.
sheeps
I kind of expected the power play to start falling back to earth, was to good to be true. Well, it was only two penalties we didn't convert on... Personally, if we stay out of the box and do well 5-on-5, it's all good.
njdevils783
Yeah I just me that we have 6 power play goals this year and three of them came from the first game.
Triumph
You kind of expected it? So you thought maybe the Devils PP would stay at 22%?

NJDevs4978
Well you can just tell, everything the Devils have done today has indicated they felt it was 'circle the wagons' time, from Lou giving his edict with the assistant coaches, to the surprising scratch of Marshall to Burns playing the two vet defensemen (Alby and Brown) in the same game for the first time all year to Gomer getting benched (again) in the second period. DevilMinder
According to FSNY Friesen changed his name to Scott.

Jas0nMacIsaac
I was never a fan of what Marshall brough to the rink, I think he is the same as Stevenson.
Ice Man
Decent game for the Devils. Gomez did nothing all night but the rest were active.

'7'
gosh, I hope Burns isn't mad at Rafalski for picking up another assist Elias is also picking up about a point per game, maybe we can get 80 out of him this year. 8 games in, and some people were pushing the panic button? come on!!! there are many devil fans who haven't even tuned into the season yet, there will be a ton of high's and low's, but this team will be in the playoffs. NJayDevil
4-0!!! Friesen, Madden, Pando, LITTLE G......LITTTTTTTTTLE G! 2nd goal of the season baby! haha.
Triumph
Right, well Marshall only scored 6 playoff goals.. and is a lot smaller.. and his career numbers are far more assist-heavy.. but you're right, he's the same, and brought nothing to the team. The Devils will need Marshall or someone like him for the playoffs. Elias-Gomez-Gionta will get killed in the postseason.
