CRASHER
Can I say that it was at least totally fitting that John Madden scores during the last ever Monday night Football game ??? We're all the closer to some quality draft pics !!!! Least the flight to Phoenix was nice !!

Phoenix, Arizona (look.. Derek... a Mick Foley CHEAP POP !!! ) So why sweat it anymore and admit it's time to rebuild
NJDevs4978
Eh Crasher/Don, all this talk about draft position reminds me of a guy on a Jets board I post on that was getting all bent out of shape over winning a late-season game a couple years back, bumping the Jets down from #5 to #12 (where they promptly picked Johnathan Vilma anyway). I can't get into higher draft pick unless say there was another Crosby this year and the Devils had a realistic shot at the #1 pick. Even then I wouldn't want the team to outright tank. But when you don't have a sureshot (or as close to it as possible), who cares whether the team drafts #7 or 12? As many defects as this team has, I'm still going to root for them to make the playoffs until they're eliminated. I'd rather have the team sneak into the playoffs as the eighth seed or even fight for the last spot and miss out than have them go into a tailspin (hmm, kind of like the one they're on now) and finish near the bottom, effectively taking the fun out of the rest of the season from the time they're eliminated. EliteNinja-LEAFS
I love the leafs. Good game. You guys probably would have gotten your first powerplay goal in who knows how long if it wasnt for belfour. Anyways, the elafs are doing pretty sh!tty this year too so dont feel bad. As for the Leafs... why do they need a ninja ?? It's too early out here
Devilsdude530
Boy, that was a fun game. Felt like a playoff game to me. Loss aside, maybe one of the more exciting games I've watched this season. That said: -The Devils again lack someone hungry enough to pay the price to score a goal. How many 2nd a 3rd rebounds did the Iggle give up that went harmlessly to a defensman? -Marty's out of his mind, Jeez if the Devs make the playoffs he should be in the Vezina race by the fact that he carried this team. -Tommy Albelin is yet to make a mistake. -Great fight. Tucker's a little bitch ever since what he did to Peca. All in all, a great game, played with 2 Hall of Fame goalies. Despite the loss, we should considered ourselves lucky to have watched. Devilsdude530
Atlanta and Minnesota both won tonight, at this point I wouldn't be too upset with a #8 pick. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Remember, we only need to be in the Bottom 7 to get in the draft lottery. Pittsburgh cannot have a lottery pick this year since they were #1 last year, so they can only draft as high as #7. Which means the other 6 worst teams in the league will insert the ping pong balls. Ooo, I have some humor. This power play is starving more than Lara Flynn Boyle in a 3rd-World-Nation.
NJD Jester
1. Anyone talking about draft position before Feb. really needs to take a break from these boards. Seriously. 2. I'm pissed about the loss, but happy Marty's redeemed himself in the eyes of some of his critics in the last few weeks. <JESTER>

Just think, if the Devils had Donatello to lead the charge, maybe they'd score.
