point
Merck Schering Plough Pfizer EXXON J&J Commerce Bank Valley National Bank PSE&G (EXELON soon to be, unless the PUC stonewalls the deal permanently) Vonage ( except they are losing a ton of $$ right now) Verizon? Personally I like Jersey Mike's But Pete Cancro probably won't spring for the price. I used to live a block from the original store in Point Pleasant. When they closed that location I moved away. sammyk
Exelon sounds kinda cool. Might be too similar to Exel Energy but who cares.
David Puddy
Ooops. I should've figured since that's where their headquarters is located. Cool name. Okay how about Johnson & Johnson Center. Yeah, then our arena would be nicknamed "The Johnson". Brilliant.

sammyk
Exelon is based in Chi-town, doubt they would be interested. Yah, and Continental is based in Houston. If Exelon is lighting up most of north Jersey then I don't see why they wouldn't be interested. Especially if they want people to recognize their name since they would be new to the state. Arctic NRG
This is definitely a pipe dream. But I personally would love to see an arena named after Flashover Recordings.

sammyk
ok, ok tattoo. But :Houston = No hockey team. Chicago = oh. wait. nevermind. good arguement. Doesn't matter if there is a hockey team there or not. They still have an arena and it's named after Toyota...hey wait, they're based in Japan! Devilsdude530
When my non-hockey fan friends ask me if Chi-town has a hockey team, I tell them they were contracted 10 years ago.
section 110
There are only a small percentage of arenas/stadiums where the corporate name is from a firm based in that city. FWIW, here's a list (though surely not 100% up to date) of naming rights owners: http://espn.go.com/sportsbusiness/s/stadiumnames.html

Marv4Life
Since I believe Newark still is up there in auto thefts, :The Lo-jack Center. A cross promotion, people who purchase season tickets and still intend to drive get a free Lo-jack for their car they will use to drive to the games. Dude this ain't 1989. If it were built in Camden or Philly you may have a point.

Rock
Dude this ain't 1989. If it were built in Camden or Philly you may have a point. 1. I hate the f'n use of dude in posts. 2. I said "I believe" means I wasn't sure. Someone told me recently it was still in the top 10 in the nation. 3. The use of smilely's there indicates by me, I wasn't being serious. Got it Dude?
