CRASHER
Wow... what a whine-fest in here.... good job guys... you sit there and bitch and complain when the Ottawa people complain and then go out and out-do them in the NEXT game.... bottom line they got beat by a fluke deflection (least it looked like it hit Martin) and an empty net goal... WHOOPDEEFAROOQ!!!! this game is a SERIOUS and long heavyweight bout and this was hardly a KO Shot!!!!! GET A GODDAMN GRIPPP!!!!!!! and FOR fvck'S SAKE... NO MORE WHINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SatansDevils
I don't know why everyone's so hung up on the Emery shutout. Anyone that watched the game knows that Emery did not outplay Marty, who gives a flying fig whether Emery got an easy shutout or a hard shutout. Point is we didn't muster much of an attack on Emery and we have to figure out how to break the Ottawa defensive lockdown in Game 4.
LizDevil30
Gionta says they have to be more patient with the puck. More patient? Shoot the puck! Emery can't handle rubber coming at him from all directions!

njdevils783
Not playoff hockey unless theres some stress to go along with it. But honestly do we really need people complaining about people who are actually complaining about the game? thelastonealive
They gotta win Wednesday, I managed to get tickets for Saturday and I don't think my insides can take a possible elimination game.

LizDevil30
If you have the right to cry and whine like a bitch after crying and whining that the other teams whines like a bitch.... then ... YESsh!t happens... mistakes are there... you either: A. Deal with it B. Whine and complain and it happens again If whining won Cups the Leafs would be a DYNASTY by now thankfully the actual TEAM will not resort to such whinery but it would be nice to see a game thread about the game then a bitch and complain fest ... last I checked other people's opinons were allowed too!!! NJDevs4978
While I agree with CRASHER's sentiment when it comes to the board it is a bit annoying that Ottawa does seem to be able to intimidate the refs. After Murray's whinefest in Game 2 every marginal call went their way. After Comrie's spinout and cursefest at the ref (he probably should have been tagged for unsportsmanlike), the next call was a phantom call against the Devils. And Liz is right it worked for the Canes

halfsharkalligatorhalfman
Ottawa took the lead the played great defensive hockey to shut us down. They deserved to win, nothing was handed to them. Devils will just have to play harder next time and beat them.

robhall
My Take on Game 2. I was not upset that the Sens lost 3-2 in OT. They played okay as a team and to be able to bring it to OT, was an accomplishment in itself. Emery should have had both goals. The timekeeper stuff just made me laugh...so what if he/she was .7 seconds late starting the clock. It was just human error. The Sens lost and we move on. Brodeur was excellent as well. But that is par for the course when it comes to Brodeur. My take on game 3. On the Preissing goal, Brodeur was interfered with by Fisher. The Sens got away with one there. As far as the Emery thing goes....i agree that he has not looked as good as Brodeur has in this series. He has been shaky at times, but also has made some decent saves. I guess the Sens defence get the credit for this SO win. Now we move on the game 4 and i'm sure it will be another low scoring game. I predicted a 6 or 7 games series an i'm sticking to it. Go Sens Go!!!
devilsrule33
Just got back from the game. I am now 0-3 when seeing the Devils play the Sens in playoff games and can easily say that tonight will be my last playoff game I go to in Ottawa this series. What a fvcking disaster that was. That was the least fun I've had at a hockey game ever. The Devils got nothing going all night and lose on a fluke goal. The fans were going nuts for Emery when he had the easiest shutout of his career not making a single hard save. I'm not upset but extremely frustrated. The good news however, the Devils have won all the playoff games in Ottawa that I have not gone to. And for anyone counting, a good amount of empty seats in the 100 level. Figure8
Very nice to admit there was a blown call sensfan and it was a tight game. Emery has been shaky all three games and Brodeur has played better. I agree on what you said here and you get my respect for you coming here knowing what happened in Game 3 tonight. Sens defense was the savior tonight with 18 blocked shots. It will go 6 or 7 games for sure.

eaglejelly
Hahahaha, I love seeing the Devils lose. And who is the clown saying that the NHL does not want Jersey to win the series. Lou Lamoriello, gets EVERYTHING his way. NJ has had all the breaks to date in the series. Quit sniping on Fisher interfering with Brodeur. He always plays at the top or outside his crease and got what he deserved. You wouldn't be saying anything is overrated Madden clipped Emery and NJ scored, so fack off.WTF, Richard Matvichuk (LTI), Lou gets cap relief, yet he is magically ready to go for the playoffs. Now that is a big fvcking joke. Devils got what they deserved tonight, no offense. Gomez is a greedy little hockey player. Sens will win handily on Weds, no way Brodeur puts up a repeat performance, and the Sens will be coming even harder.
