JesterDevil
Is he still on waivers? Is it still possible to pick him up? I know it'd be taking a chance, but I think we need to do that in order to add another offense line. Fluery-Gomez-Elias. That'd be a pretty decent line if Burns and Lou can keep Fluerys head on straight. Would it be worth the headache? Is this even an option now that the trade deadline has passed? Or is there a different deadline for waivers? JesterDevil
NJayDevil
You know what...ah nevermind he really isn't worth it. He's getting paid $4.5 million next year. That's too much.
Triumph
Fleury has already passed through waivers.
JesterDevil
Damn, I was thinking just as a playoff rental, but if we'd have to pick up his next year also then no way at that price. Unless Chi town would pay for atleast 1/2 of that. JesterDevil
Jerrydevil
JesterDevil, surely you jest! Fleury? He needs Dr. Phil, not Pat Burns and Lou Lamoriello.
sundstrom
if chicago picked up some of his $$, i'd really think about it. he still has ability
JesterDevil
Lou could bring him here, then let Stevens & Mckenzie just beat the crap out of Fluery in the back room, maybe that'd get him on the straight track. Kidding! JesterDevil
Jerrydevil
Sundstrom, are the Devils that desperate? I guess you think so. I'm disappointed, too, but the thing that gets me is how Edmonton could take so little for Carter. Larry Brooks suggested that the Rangers offered up cash, too, but that wasn't reported as part of the deal. It's pretty damn fishy if you ask me. Man, isn't Carter exactly what the Devils need? LIDevsFan1
finances aside, I don't think its a bad idea. He may have bottomed out and think he has something to prove one more time. Plus I could see him playing the role of getting under the other teams skin that Pepe did so effectively in 95.
'7'
Fleury still has ability and could help us out. If he gets hot the guy is still a 30 goal scorer and a play maker, but off the ice this guy is a walking time bomb. It's gotten to the point now where he's a lost cause. I don't think Lou has the patience for a Fleury project
M.
Carter is due to get a nice raise next year in arbitration. I guess EDM can't afford it and the deep pockets across the river could. As for Fleury- if that were to ever happen I'd ask for a refund on my playoff tix and never look back. Who needs a timebomb in the locker room at this point of the year? Triumph
Fleury has already passed through waivers. He's not available. End of discussion.
msweet
I like the idea of the Fleury-Gomez-Gionta line. Kinda like mites-on-ice. No substance abuser needed on the devils, thank you.
'7'
actually, the Devils could use a kick ass time bomb, just not one that abuses drugs and alcohol.
JesterDevil
Wonder if Fluery would trade drugs and alcohol for some of that good tasting kool-aid. JesterDevil
SC Devs Fan
Look how Burns and Lou dealt with Danton who has some talent. I'd love Theo but I do not think that Lou and Burnsie would tolerate him. Just another distraction that we don't need right now.
CRASHER
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO and NO !!! Did I mention NO ??? Fluery's been a cancer, distraction (anyone notice Probert going BACK into rehab after 6 months of Fleury on the team ?? Can you see him doing that to Daneyko .. I could) Theo's career is over.. let him go painlessly.. or as a Maple Leaf with the rest of the drunks

Derek21
Are you kidding??? For all his effort and talent, he's just NOT WORTH the trouble Ask any Ranger fan. I really feel for Theo and hope he gets his problems resolved.
devildoggie
Is he still on waivers? Is it still possible to pick him up? for the love of god I hope not!! the guy is too unstable. he's the last thing the Devils need in the locker room
'7'
I don't think this is it for Fleury, some team will take him next year.
