Coorslight
Not sure when in the game this happened but TG just posted this 2 minutes ago. Devils defenseman Andy Greene will miss four to six weeks after breaking his hand in Wednesday's shootout loss to Toronto. Ivan
What, it took him a while to notice that he broke his hand? Man the players are dropping like flies
sundstrom
i assume this will mean the return of salmela. brookbank cannot be in the lineup for the next month.

SC Devs Fan
Doesn't matter... Greene would have played his way out of the lineup in about three weeks, then got back in in about 6 weeks so he'll be returning about the time he would have anyway. Too bad we didn't know a day ago, we could have claimed Ken Klee
Ivan
Come on now, we all know its going to be Brookbank filling Greene's spot
maltieri
I was really happy with the way Greene had played the last few games. This blows!
95Crash
Wow, this sucks. Greene was one of our few bright spots on defense as of late.

They already have Sheldon Brookbank, who will step into Greene's spot in the lineup Saturday against Atlanta." Triumph
I'd also like to note that a Brookbank-Mottau pairing will probably take 4 to 6 weeks off my life. I'm considering TiVoing the games and just fast forwarding through their shifts.
Jdub
Hahahaha.... I don't like Brookbank, He's like that Awesome JV player that looks lost on varsity... Well, atleast the devils will know what they have in defensive depth..
95Crash
Today's line combos at practice, per TG: Forwards: Elias-Zubrus-Gionta; Parise-Zajac-Bergfors; Pandolfo-Madden-Clarkson; Rupp-Vrana-Halischuk. Defense: Salvador-Martin; White-Oduya; Brookbank-Mottau. Goaltenders: Brodeur, Weekes.
Jdub
Thats not a bad 4th line at all..... sucks that they are on the 4th line but it happens.. Rupp/Vrana/Clarkson actually showed some skill last game together.
SatansDevils
Oh terrific! Another injury to add to the list. Greene has been our best defenseman this season and now he is gone for over a month. Looks like Brookbank will have some playing time along with some others until Greene comes back.

Could be that the intent was to showcase either one of Brookbank and/or Greene. Now we'll get to see the other one...
SatansDevils
Greene is not going anywhere when he is your best defenseman so far this season besides Martin and maybe Mottau. If anything Brookbank will be showcased. We might Matt Corrente being called up in the next day or two.

I don't like Brookbank, He's like that Awesome JV player that looks lost on varsity...Well, atleast the devils will know what they have in defensive depth.. Brookbank sucks. Devils should give Salmela another shot or Maybe Corrente..... Losing Greene just sucks... Give him credit though for finishing the hockey game with a broken hand, true hockey player. Random Poster
Teams suffer injuries through the season it happens to every team, but it always seems that the teams that really aren't any good or play poorly in stretches always suffer the most. They should count themselves lucky right now that Elias doesn't have his jaw wired shut on top of this. If that was the case, well, just be thankful. MadDog2020
This really sucks. Sheldon Brookbank makes me long for the days of Dan McGillis.
Random Poster
This really sucks. Sheldon Brookbank makes me long for the days of Dan McGillis. McGillis was a has been in terms of D-men in the new NHL when the Devils got him and Brookbank so far in his career is a never was. All Brookbank needs to do is not make dumb ass mistakes and he'll be OK. Just play safe and smart.
