bdubdevs
TG: Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner did not make the trip with the Devils to North Carolina and will miss at least the next two games of the team's Eastern Conference quarterfinal against the Hurricanes with a lower-body injury, general manager Lou Lamoriello said. Langenbrunner was injured in the second period of a 2-1 overtime loss in Game 2 on Friday night.

Devils Pride 26
Well ........ fvck!We can still win these games though. All they have to do is steal one. Hell, I'll donate the ski masks, can we get a get-away driver?
Cowutopia
You all realize this means Holik gets back into the lineup.
DaneykoIsGod
You all realize this means Holik gets back into the lineup. The two-minute goalie interference penalty will be well worth it if Cam Ward can't get back up. I can't believe I just said that.
CRASHER
well now we see the worth of the coaching staff shuffle the talent (maybe Shanny with Parise and Zajac... just anyone but Elias... I'd prefer Clarkson but whatever) this team CAN still win these games... but they gotta play the A game... in the playoffs where that should be a GIVEN anyway
adavid
This team has proven it can rally when injury strikes.

DevilinLA
Must be pretty serious. They are saving him for what would be the "last chance" game. Not good.

The Facepainter
The next two games will be interesting without Jamie. A few guys will need to step up. Hopefully the devils can win at least one of the next two.
MadDog2020
BTW, why wouldn't he make the fvcking trip? He is the fvcking leader of this team, why leave him home? It might do him well to be around the guys and vice versa.
Sickman
Not much of a surprise here. Being that this is the Devils and the playoffs there is no way you will ever know how serious the injury is but the fact that he isn't even traveling with the team is a bad sign. I have confidence in this group but this is a real tough break for these guys. They proved during the season that they could deal with injury adversity but there really isn't much time to adjust here. Mostly because if you fvcking want him back before the fvcking end of the fvcking series he should probably fvcking rest the ankle/groin/whatever and fvcking stay within fvcking close fvcking proximity to the fvcking medical staff and fvcking therapists that will fvcking get him ready ASAFP..... Triumph
this is why you have depth. one of these games is easily winnable.
devils26
If losing Jamie Langenbrunner moves us from cup contenders to a first round knockout, we weren't going anywhere anyway.
HellOnICE
If losing Jamie Langenbrunner moves us from cup contenders to a first round knockout, we weren't going anywhere anyway. I'm not sure that's true...he's that important. However, this series is still winnable without Jamie. Lines will be interesting, but you know Holik is chomping at the bit. To tell you the truth, penalties or not, someone needs to handle Erik Staal, Holik should be the guy to stir sh!t up and pound some heads.
