CMONPETEYD
Its clear... Devils stand around WAAAAAAAAAAY to much trying to kill penalties and when we are on our PP. We don;t nearly move around enough. Zach looks great though.
95Crash
I don't know. Deflected or not, Marty's legs were wide open. Nevertheless, it's only 2-1 with two-thirds of the game left. Go Devils!
newjerseydamo
Skoula = awesome in regular season, sh!t in playoffs. Referees = hate NJD Lemaire = pull your head out your ass, and change the lineup to players that dont want to sink this team, and gameplan that isnt so god damn predictable PK = clear puck in the air, not on the ice 5 hole = wide open We are out of the first round. 4-0 sweep. Jerrydevil
This team has sagged. They just sag when adversity comes. I fear a third goal this period.
CMONPETEYD
It's weird. Zach gives us something to feel good about -- we give it right back then the 4 on 3 PP looks great and then boom 2-
hit the post
Why am i not feeling good about this game How about because of History?
devilsfan26
Doesn't seem to matter when you're Brian Boucher, he stops Parie from right out in front all alone. Brodeur lets in pathetic tricklers from 40 feet away. Does he think it's OT already? There's a huge difference between stopping a deflection on a pass and stopping a shot that is deflected. Brodeur was trying to stop the shot, then it got deflected and it was too fast for him to adjust. With Parise's deflection alone in front, Boucher was moving to position himself to stop Parise because the pass wasn't going in.
eaglejelly
If Kovy hadn’t screwed up on the point, they wouldn’t have had the breakaway and penalty in the first place. He cost us more than he gives us in that position
PhuckinKillAvery
i feel like the flyers have 3 shots on goal.
njdevilz4
Its only a matter of time before the Kovy ice-capades show begins.
CMONPETEYD
I said this to LOTCB Yesterday. After game 1 loss -- Kovalchuk off PP Point ZZ Pops Elias -- Zubrus -- Langenbrunner Clarkson -- NIedermayer -- Rolston 4th Line
95Crash
We knew we weren't going to win scoring one goal anyway. Gotta score more!!!

CMONPETEYD
How come we can not establish a man in the crease. because we are too fvcking small
Random Poster
IMO, Flyers keys to this series was: 1) Boucher 2) Special Teams 3) Playing in your face, puck persuit. (Which the Devils have problems with) Mission accomplished for 4 periods. The only blemish was the SH goal, but they made up for it.
CMONPETEYD
We knew we weren't going to win scoring one goal anyway. Gotta score more!!! Unfortunately we play a lot better with the lead then we do from behind. Notice that we really didn't respond to that last goal. Dr Death
How about because of History? Where are the obstruction calls we see all season long. Devs are being held up when they dump the puck an no calls being made????
CMONPETEYD
Ha -- Chico -- good first period for the Devils. What are you smoking buddy. Go eat a cheesesteak

theamazingtiny
How do you score a shorty and end up down at the end of the period???jesus...
'7'
Great, the Flyers got exactly 1 good scoring chance this period and have scored 2 goals.
devilsfan26
Alright it seemed pretty clear Pronger was holding Parise's stick there. If the refs are gonna let stuff like that and the post-whistle beatdowns go then the Devils need to take advantage of that too.
Masked Fan
Huge difference between the 2 power plays. They are moving around, passing between seams. We just stand around I was saying the same thing. "Look at them flying and passing, making the Devils move around like HS players! If Kovy hadn’t screwed up on the point, they wouldn’t have had the breakaway and penalty in the first place. He cost us more than he gives us in that position Kovalchuk needs to score two goals a game just to break even some days.
CMONPETEYD
"There are a lot of rebounds lying around and we have to get guys there" YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets do that. But too bad you got a monster clearing out the crease
95Crash
C'mon Devs, we have two periods to right this ship.
