Triumph
Isn't he still officially suspended a few games? no, i don't think so. he served his suspension and was then sent down. 5th rounder is a decent return for leblond, who i am pretty sure lou resolved would never play a game in NJ again after what he said post-suspension. Unknown Soul
well i dont really think Leblond was going to accomplish much anyway Edited July 14, 2011 by Unknown Soul
Mayday
Holy ****! ******* win Lou! Cup, cup, cup, cup! Speechless. We now know what Lou was up to! God....wow! Woo! Lets gooo!
DevilinLA
I think Lou gets a decent return for PL3 in a "2012" 5th rounder - if the draft is as loaded as they say. He was never going to wear an NJ sweater again after last season's fiasco.

DevilinLA
exactly we basically got something for nothing Lou usually does pretty well in these minor trades - I don't if PL# really warranted a 5th rd pick?
Quinn01
Good. We can get 1000000 times better with a 5th round pick for him. So long PL3
msweet
I think PL3 did himself in after that cheap shot he took... they never used him again the same way.
DevilinLA
Some important info here: @TGfireandice Tom Gulitti Leblond's contract becomes a one-way for 2011-12 after being two-way last season. He'll earn $550,000 in AHL or NHL. Cap hit is $525,000. 6 minutes ago via TweetDeck and: From CGY: ''In Pierre-Luc not only have we achieved our objectives but we have done so by bringing in a player who comes very highly recommended by our Head Coach who worked with him previously.'' All I can hear in my head is: Edited July 14, 2011 by DevilinLA

Triumph
Remind me what he said? He basically said that he would do it again and that he didn't care. I mean, Maclean got fined $10k, and he got suspended when the team was already short players, so yeah, that's probably deserving of a ticket out of town. Was this at the end of a game we were losing so badly I had already turned it off? Why am I unable to recall this incident. I can only remember him getting suspended. justdo3043
something for nothing imo
TheMazz
I liked PL3. Even though he wasn't a goal scorer he was that old fashioned style enforcer that regardless of what some people say is still needed in the NHL. His classic fight with Cam Jannsen will not go forgotten. I wish him luck in Calgary.

I can only remember him getting suspended. don't remember when it was, but he was basically blackballed from newark after this retarded move. so we got a player in 5th round for nothing. and apparently he's highly recommended by sutter, clearly he is a man to be trusted for his word. MadDog2020
The fact we got anything for him is a minor miracle. I wouldn't have traded a ham sandwich for PL3.
elias2600
It's a big win for us. It's turning a past 7th rounder into a 5th rounder in a supposedly strong draft class 2012, and also saving 550K off of our wages bill this season.
DevilinLA
Didn't Guerin go for a 5th to the Pens the year they won the cup? Didn't Kovalev go to the Pens for a 7th?
Devilsfan118
5th round pick for what essentially amounts to someone who would never play again here. Not bad Lou, not bad.
elias2600
We have to thank Brent Sutter for this, as he clearly pressured / Jedi mind tricked Feaster.
