Lateralous
I watched the Sarnia vs London game today. London won 4-1. I ordered it thinking I would see a battle of the top prospects but the game really came down to London getting two goals from its depth players and their goalie Parsons having an excellent day. Zacha played pretty well getting robbed once and setting up a few nice scoring chances but he didn't register a point and took his stupid penalty of the game with about 4 minutes left. Probably better off because there was a line brawl while he was in the box that took so long to sort out, I eventually just turned the game off. The stats aren't up on the OHL website but Zacha was probably a -2 although neither really seemed to be a breakdown by him. Jacobs was also decent. Oddly enough, he doesn't get much power play time because Zacha takes the point opposite Chychrun on the first unit. Chychrun was probably the Stings best player today. On a side note, this is the third time I've watched London over the last two years (so I'm no expert) and despite the hype around guys like Domi, Marner and Tkachuk, Dvorak has consistently stood out as their best player to me in all three. Arizona might be on to another gem with him.

Triumph
I watched the Brandon - Edmonton game - or at least most of it, though I can't confess to watching it with the intensity I'd watch a Devils game. Baddock got two breakaways and was generally a relevant player. Lots of talk about him 'being noticed' by pro scouts by the announcers - did they forget he was drafted? Anyway he's 21 so that's what he should be doing. Made some ugly passes though. Quenneville got hurt and then got in a fight the next shift so the kid's got some guts even if that's not necessarily what I'd want to see. Did some good things besides. Lateralous
I logged on to say that I'm getting a little concerned that most of Zacha's production lately seems to come off the PP. I really want to see more 5v5 scoring. I always laugh that Maple Leafs fans think that Marner's OHL production translates into some sure fire Patrick Kane clone when half the time it seems like he ends the night -1 with 2-3 points all on that loaded PP in London. Not watching but it does appear Zacha has the primary assist on an even strength goal so far today (1 minute left in the first at the time I'm posting)

Derek21
I wonder how you guys feel about prospect interviews. I did one with one of Blandisi's former teammates on Barrie. Kevin Labanc, who actually is from Staten Island starred for the New Jersey Rockets and then got to experience the USNDT with current NHLers Eichel, Jones, Trouba, Skjei. He has had a long journey and chose the OHL playing for Dale Hawerchuk over Notre Dame. He did a great interview with me for my new Hockey Prospects blog. It was probably the most cool thing I did. If you're interested, I can post a link. Or just message me. Or tweet me. @derekbfelix
