Ref blows whistle right before a grade A shot comes from the point...just so he can give palms an embellishing penalty. Altho tbh Palms has been asking for this with all his diving lately

Was it embellishment or interference?

Sens just slamming the door shut.  And way to stand up for your top player guys.

Some night it's Kinkaid, other nights it's Stinkaid.  Please come back Cory.

If we could've got some saves tonight, we would have won. Hard to be mad at Lack for allowing the breakaway goal though.

Congrats to boring Eugene Melnyk on the huge win though, hope that piece of sh!t enjoys the firesale at the deadline. Nice to see future Devil Mike Hoffman can still rip it too

It’s a common theme this season...

I think the 5-3 score makes it sound like this game was closer than it really was.

Well, they did outshoot them 33-32 as well.

I thought we got outplayed in this one by a sh!t team, it happens. More bummed about the total lack of playing with an edge 90% of the time. Doesn't bode well when your top players are undersized especially Nico and Bratt. Hall does but he's the last guy I would want to see injured standing up for himself or someone else.

I ain't even mad. Honestly, the Devils looked strong for about five minutes but lost their game after the 5 on 3. Some games you're gonna lose. And Lack looked liked a real goaltender.

He should start Thursday. Especially since it’s the Flames.

RECAP

  • Goalie evaluation
    • Ott goal 1: Excusable, due to a wicked snipe job, but still a stoppable shot
    • Ott goal 2: Excusable, nothing Kinkaid can do there on the deflection
    • Ott goal 3: Inexcusable, terrible goal to allow short side
    • Ott goal 4: Inexcusable, terrible effort getting over shot needs to be stopped if Kinkaid is set properly
    • Ott goal 5: Excusable, due to it being a breakaway, but it was still a weak shot by a goal who had scored 3 goals all season.
  • Goaltending was the biggest culprit tonight, although Lack looked pretty good tonight.
  • Doesn't mean they weren't careless defensively, but this is where goaltending cost us at least a point.
  • Got to be more disciplined.
    • Too many 5 on 3 situations lately, and Coleman's penalty was bench worthy.
  • Hoffman is the kind of player this team needs the most.
