The team has outscored its opponents 20-8 over the six-game streak. With a victory tonight, New Jersey would move back to .500 for the first time since December 6 (13-11-2).

For the Devils, tonight's game marks the third in a stretch of four straight vs. Western Conference opposition. The January 9 game vs. Philadelphia marked the club's 13th/final game (6-6-1) in a stretch of 13 straight contests against the East. The team is now 5-7-2 vs. the Atlantic, 6-4-0 vs. the Northeast, 7-5-1 vs. the Southeast, and 4-2-2 vs. the West thus far.
