DarkDevil
I really want to kill myself right now, instead I threw something across the room to relieve myself of the frustration. This game sucked after the first 5 minutes of the third.
Steadevils
Team is playing like its scared to make the playoffs. Gionta's back must be getting sore, carrying this team on his back through all these games
Sickman
The best was when they gave Elias two minutes for arguing about the bullsh*t officiating OPEN YOUR EYES YOU F'ING MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!
Exit56
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one ready to kill someone after watching the way this game ended. I swear to god johnny mac should have punched that fvcking ref out.
devilsrule33
Easily one of the most difficult losses in the regular season that I can ever remember. We are lucky to get a point but what a horrible collapse by this team. I am not even upset at this team but just at the result. I am shocked. Now I hate to blame refs but Brodeur had that puck covered. He thought it got behind him but he still had it under him and not blowing the play is dead is pathetic. What a fvcking joke that was. Devil Fan
We;re slipping down the standing. Right now, the Leafs are losing and let's hope the Caps will best the Lightning. Otherwise, we're in big trouble.
MadDog2020
If Marty is still getting a rest tomorrow night let's see if that helps him. Maybe it's what he needs. Yeah, becasue this was Marty's fault. The puck under the pads, no whislte. Gomez gets fvckING A MUGGED, no call, they come down and score right away. We broke down as a team in the 3rd. Marty may have given up 6 goals, but how many of them were his fault? Honestly? The goal by Holik maybe. That's really it. I haven't been this pissed off about a regular season game in I don't know how long. I might not sleep tonight after this, that's how much this game hurts right now. devilsrule33
Can someone explain to me what happened Gomez? I was watching the Thrashers feed and missed it and of course they did not mention it.

Devilsdude530
It doesn't change the fact that this team might be worse than the team we fielded in '96, but it's still just an inexcusable non-call.
hattrick
So, when is the draft scheduled this year? I've nothing else to look forward to when it comes to the NHL. Edited March 24, 2006 by hattrick
DarkDevil
I'm seriously considering switching to watching my Yankees in spring training. RicPerrott
Well, I think that officially puts a nail in the Devils' coffin. They should fade the rest of the way and finish a solid 9th. Then Lou can sit down for 72 hours and try to comprehend just how horribly he screwed this team up. Hopefully then, he can get to work and right all the wrongs. Ok, well, not all of them, but is a few asking too much? This is the time you see who the true fans are though. The Stanley Cup runs are over, the perennial Eastern Conference top seed chase is no longer a reality, and the long, dry spell is getting ready to set in. Now is the time for all bandwagoners to jump off at the next stop. Should be a great playoffs though, it really is wide open this year. MantaRay
I didn't realize there were so many drama queens on this site. I find the lack of faith most disturbing. Bottomline: Marty needs a rest and will get it. The new lines looked great. There are 13 games or so left get your patties unbunched or just don't watch anymore games. devilsfan26
Can someone explain to me what happened Gomez? I was watching the Thrashers feed and missed it and of course they did not mention it. He got high-sticked in the corner when going for the puck. He was down for a while but since the dickhead ref didn't blow the whistle or even call a penalty gomez had to try to get up and go to the bench but he was bent over and holding his face so he couldn't see where he was going and crashed into the boards and didn't make it to the bench in time for another guy to come out so the thrashers had a 4 on 3 and scored and everyone jumped over the bench to celebrate and practically trampled gomez who was still struggling to get to the bench. thefiestygoat
I'm beside myself with anger right now. I almost broke my wrist just now. Seriously. I'm still recovering from one wrist surgery and almost broke the other in a fight and banging sh!t around the friggen house. I am so pissed at this team but also at the refs for all of their bullsh!t calls. I can't even repeat what I said or say how I really feel because it will get me banned. But damnit, this friggen sucks the big one. That non-call when Marty had the puck covered was redicilous and the non-call after Gomez got high sticked was inexcusable. I hope those refs die or have something bad happen to them. F U REFS. F U ATLANTA!

What a fvcking joke that was. You can feel free to blame those fvcking a$$holes. The team deserves blame too, no doubt- it was a joke in the 3rd- but the 2 biggest goals Atlanta scored were the direct result of incopetent, pathetic, inexcusable, disgusting officiating. Period, end of story- don't try to argue it, because there's nothing to debate. And this is coming from someone who NEVER makes excuses and NEVER blames officiating. Not tonight. This was a fvcking crock of horsesh!t if I've ever seen one. If this game was up here, those refs would need a police escort to the airport. NJD Jester
This sucked. Thought they had it in hand. Again, let's not starting talking about the draft. It's a collapse at the end of March. The schedule doesn't get any easier, but hopefully they can turn this thing around for next month, when they play some very, very meaningful games. I still think they make the postseason. <JESTER>
Devilsdude530
Let's focus on the positive. I've calmed down a little, enough to focus on what did happen that was good tonight: -3 Power Play Goals if I'm not wrong -The Zach finally gets one -We were able to put out three legit lines. -FINALLY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE ARE IN NO DIFFERENT A SPOT IN THE STANDINGS THEN WE WERE BEFORE THIS GAME. WE GOT A POINT, AND NOW WERE TIED WITH THE LIGHTNING, WHO ARE LOSING RIGHT NOW. WE CANNOT FALL, NOR CAN WE RISE TONIGHT. -Oh, one more thing, maybe this is what shoots some fire into this team's ass. That'd be nice. Still, an unforgiveable loss.

Whats there to have faith in. This team cant win a game for sh*t and whats worse is that they are getting screwed by the refs in the process. Its over. Accept it. Don
What was the turning point of the game? We're up 4-1 and Weimer starts a fight just for the hell of it... causing an insigator and a Thrasher PP. Weimer did everything he could tonight to give the Thrashers the win. You start a fight when you need to turn the game around. You don't start a fight when you just want to lull the other team to sleep. I'm still confused what the difference is between Crosby's "whining" and everyone here crying because the ref missed a call. That game should never have gotten to overtime. If you can't hold a 4-1 lead in the 3rd, you have no business winning the game....

In no way was it Marty's fault.
