Jake
Probably a bigger test of focus than the Ottawa game. They need to go out there and embarrass the Flyers, make a statement, get Marty the record, and, most importantly, knock Pittsburgh out of the race! mikepopowich
Let's go Devils! it'll be sweet getting the division in philly and hopefully party breaks the record. and hopefully the rangers do not get a point tonight. f' them. sorry, meant to say hope "Marty" breaks the record. not party, though it might be a party afterwards. NYGDevils32
Even though we only need one point to secure the Division, I still want the Devils to win-out. There is no reason to lose to the rival Flyers and Isles. The Devils have owned them both all year, so these next two games should not be any different. And if I am correct, when the Devils beat the Isles to end the regular season, that is a complete season sweep. But until then, kill those Flyers tonight... LETS GODEVILS! NJDevs4978
Whoopiee, the Devils will play with fewer than eighteen skaters - although they've done that four times this year and are 4-0 No Gionta or Janssen and yet again no Matvichuk (what else is new? ). Gomez is back at least Interesting that Elias referred to 'hopefully getting Marty some extra rest before the playoffs' when talking about the possibility of winning the division tonight. Jimmy Leeds
Bad news on Gionta. This does not bode well for the playoffs.

Risky
Did they give an update on Gionta? Did they give an update on Chuckie?
njdevils783
Elias was noticeably bad for most of that period but that pass to Langenbrunner was picture perfect, a nice way to redeem yourself.
NJDevs4978
Gionta was with the team, x-rays were negative but he was ruled out tonight. Matvichuk still has that same 'cap injury' that's plagued him for the last three months since he started practicing He's with the team and Lou promised to get him in a game before season's end so unless something happens he 'should' play Sunday.
