Daniel
So whats the deal with these OHL'ers can they be called up to their NHL clubs at any time, or are there restrictions If you signed an NHL contract, you can be called up to the NHL team from junior at any time. As a general matter though, can't play for the AHL team until the junior season is over. (I say as a "general matter" as the exact terms of the agreement between the NHL and CHL are not public and occasionally there are wrinkles here and there). (I say as a "general matter" as the exact terms of the agreement between the NHL and CHL are not public and occasionally there are wrinkles here and there). A player from junior can only be called up in an emergency situation, and then must be returned to junior when the emergency is over. I think that emergency situation is more dire than a normal emergency recall but do not remember what that situation is.
Derlique
Watching those BC highlights, man Wood looks good out there. That pass on the 2-0 (I know) shows some pretty good creativity. Also nice to see him standing in front of the goalie on the PP, showing he has no fear

Marshall
Big comeback win, coach got canned anyways, players marched up to GM's office and essentially quit the team as well. Sounds like fun times.
NLinfante
I was up in Boston this weekend and I was really impressed with Wood and Santini. SS scored the opening goal on Friday night and had another big hit Sunday. MW was the fastest skater on the ice for either team. With that being said, both games very very chippy and there were a lot of penalties so I didn't get a great idea of how these guys are 5v5. The embellishment call on MW was a good one but he was really moving his feet for a potential breakaway when he was stick-checked up high (and then fell over like he was tripped). The BC team is in the middle of some historic defense (6 shutouts in their last 7 games), it's beyond impressive - it's actually mind blowing. Both guys are impact players right now. Hard to tell exactly what he story is though, Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk http://www.tsn.ca/mondaymustread-flint-players-walk-out-after-coaching-staff-fired-1.390508 One by one, all 24 players of the OHL’s Flint Firebirds placed their sweaters on the floor in the front office and quit the team on Sunday night, shortly after owner Rolf Nilsen fired team staff. According to reports, the coaching staff was fired by team owner Nilsen after he voiced his displeasure over a lack of playing time for his son, defenceman Hakon Nilsen The son was one of the players who quit after the firing of the coach, crazy stuff

From what I've heard from reports he's having a pretty good season! I feel like he'll be a good player for us. A good offensive threat with good speed and size. A talented and good pick for us IMO. Chuck the Duck
I was at the Princeton-Harvard game last night and saw Kerfoot play. He played on the top PP and Pk, and looked to be on their first or second line as well. Some nice skill with the puck and has speed, but is undersized. Both teams played tight defensively, so not much offense was generated in the game (Harvard scored 2 EN goals at the end to ice the game), but Kerfoot was noticeable out there. I have to say, Baker Rink is a fantastic place to watch a game and I highly recommend people go check it out. Fun atmosphere, you're right on top of the action, and tickets are $10.
