overtime98
Islanders vs. Devils! The New York Islanders look to continue their success against the New Jersey Devils and avoid extending their season-high losing streak to five games as the Atlantic Division rivals meet Thursday. The Islanders (19-17-3) have won five of their last six games against the Devils (22-13-4), including three in a row at Continental Airlines Arena. However, the lone loss in that span came in a 2-0 defeat on Saturday - the Isles' second loss of their the current four-game losing streak. REMINDER: COAT DRIVE TONIGHT! East Rutherford weather..... Its really January? LETS GO DEVILS!!!

Devil Fan
I think it is time for the scoring corps to step up. There is no way Brodeur keeps stealing game after game. Brodeur should collect all the salary of this team!!!!

NYGDevils32
To get a safe win, the Devils should put up 3 goals or 4 goals tonight on the Isles. I agree with Devil Fan, Marty can't always do it himself. LETS GO DEVILS!

eaglejelly
What a first period. After the 2-1 the Devils did not look good, but they got their act together towards the end. 3-1 Devils
Don
BTW - Can someone explain the "my apologies to the sitcom Maude" joke Doc made? Messy first period. Islanders were outshooting us 9-3 at one point and held a lot of territorial advantage. Let's hope Oduya isn't serious injured.
eaglejelly
Nice goals byParise, but on the last one Di Pietro did not look good at all. Rangers are up 2-0, that sucks!
El Diablo
BTW - Can someone explain the "my apologies to the sitcom Maude" joke Doc made? I think that in that 70's sitcom there was a line in the title song about a horn... Im old but even I cant remember it -but Doc talk about an obscure reference... bostondevil11
I think that in that 70's sitcom there was a line in the title song about a horn... Im old but even I cant remember it -but Doc talk about an obscure reference... I don't get the Doc joke I missed what he said but here is the lyrics to the Maude show "And Then There's Maude" Written by Alan & Marilyn Bergman and Dave Grusin Sung by Donny Hathaway Lady Godiva was a freedom rider; She didn't care if the whole world looked. Joan of Arc, with the Lord to guide her; She was a sister who really cooked. Isadora was the first bra burner; Aren't ya glad she showed up? Oh, yeah. And when the country was falling apart, Betsy Ross got it all sewed up. And then there's Maude, And then there's Maude, And then there's Maude, And then there's Maude, And then there's Maude, And then there's.... That uncompromising, enterprising, anything but tranquilizing, Right on, Maude!
