Amberite
This is what I meant Hmm I'm never one to miss sarcasm, definitely didn't detect it in your post (the Borgata is nice and so is a day-trip to NYC). If it was sarcasm, my apologies.
David Puddy
So then stop going to Seaside. My shore house is in Normandy Beach which is on the island right smack between where Seaside and Point Pleasant is. Private beach, no meateads or fist pumping. Yeah, my parents have a house right nearby. Seaside's fun on occasion, but most definitely a freak show. Hey, Kovy should buy that house on the island in the bay. njdevil26
That house in the bay that has it's own island? That thing is ridiculous... wonder who actually lives there. If I can find out the actual address I can figure it out.
westcoastdevfan
if you want to change the Jersey Shore image just call it a BEACH! The whole shore thing is so, well, Jersey. It's the beach people.

njdevil26
How am I supposed to go to Normandy Beach instead of Seaside if it's a private beach? My point is just that a small percentage of the Jersey Shore is like Seaside. There are a lot of great places to go other than Seaside where you can have a great relaxing and fun time. mugsywwiii
Well that's my last nerve. No news, no reporters talking to us... just nothing. No kinds of updates from the Devils about ANYTHING. But of course they have no problem sending e-mails and letters and phone calls to try to get us to buy tickets. I am officially OUT OF HERE until he signs. Have fun everyone. Come on man. Lou isn't being quiet about this because he doesn't want the fans to know what's going on, he's being quiet because he doesn't want to give other teams information that could be useful to them. What does their marketing activities have to do with the Kovalchuk deal? Do you think Lou is writing those letters to you personally? I can't believe people are actually making decisions about tickets based on whether or not the Devils sign Kovalchuk. WTF kind of fan would do that? Not a very good one. The Devils will be a great team with or without Kovalchuk, and they're capable of winning another cup with or without Kovalchuk. If you're getting butt hurt because you grew attached to a guy we had for a couple of months, you're a terrible fan.

Yeah I went to 36 home games last year and bought thousands of dollars of merch and post on three different internet message boards for the Devils every day... I'm a terrible fan. Thanks. I apologize for being frustrated. My disappointment towards this organization is based off of WAYYY more than just the Kovalchuk thing. This isn't even a percentage. Daniel
i haven't been to LA casinos but i can assure you that the borgata is nicer than any of them. Wrong. I've been to the Borgata, and the Wynn and the Belagio are much nicer, with better restaurants and hotter cocktail waitresses to boot. Plus the club at the Borgata is super cheesy. AC is not a selling point for NJ so far as I'm concerned. Total friggin' dump and one of the scarier cities I've been in.

maxpower
and I'm not so sure what's scary about AC. at least compared to other NJ cities. yes, it's a rotted out husk of a dive, but it's got nothing on Paterson or Camden or Trenton or most of the residential areas of Newark. The ball is in Kovy's court. Do you think Lou is going to post transcripts of his conversations with Grossman? Are you expecting Kovy to tweet his innermost secrets while on the pooper? Wrong. Risky
The casinos in LA make Atlantic City look like Dubai. But most of the rest of LA is something that NJ can't compete with. Especially the areas that Kovalchuk would live.

Risky
The smog isn't really as bad as its made out to be. No worse than NJ. The traffic is the biggest clusterfvck I've ever witnessed in my life. But the weather... just can't be beat. It's been 68-75 degrees here during the day in South Bay for 8 weeks straight.

When I would go down to LA from NorCal, my throat would be burning and eyes watering. However, when I would be around the NYC/NJ area, none of those things would happen. Then again, I have to admit my bias in that I seriously hate LA.
