oofrostonoo
If Kovalchuk goes to NJ there will be celebration like we won the cup (which I will be apart of). He will put more fans in the seats and increase TV rating instantly. Things the Devils need. I will definitely be buying tickets to quite a few more games. MantaRay
According to Hockey Central: Vancouver, Chicago, Philadelphia and Los Angeles are NOT interested in Kovalchuk. Sadly, NJ is "supposed" to be a player in this, so the lack of interest brings the cost down tremendously. Trade will come this weekend.

iamtheprodigy
idk...i wouldnt want to mortgage our future for a rental Yeah I mean, Pandolfo is still developing here guys. Now that he has a great coach like Lemaire to guide him, I think we might be looking at a star player in 2-3 years.

devlman
Just the thought of seeing a line of Elias-Zubrus-Kovalchuk is making my hair stand up on my arms. Lol! Zubrus is a type of player that needs TWO good players and scores for him to be a threat. That has already shown with him playing with Parise and Zajac in the last several games. By getting Kovalchuk and a healthy Elias back, the Devils will finally have that 2-line scoring threat. Parise-Zajac-Langenbrunner Elias-Zubrus-Kovalchuk Seriously! That is an insane top 2 lines! The giddiness builds!
Triumph
i'm not even considering if this happens anymore. what i do know is that people like bergfors and palmieri are probably at the height of their value, and if one were going to sell them, now would be the time. This is the best news us Devils fans have heard in over 5-years! New Jersey and Lou to be the lone survivor for Kovalchuk. "Kovalchuk to New Jersey!" Now that sounds really good and the more a reality. Go get him Lou.

bdubdevs
Parise-Zajac-Langenbrunner Elias-Zubrus-Kovalchuk You guys are being ridiculous. How can you forget, in all this hype and chaos, that our REAL first line is Pando-Nieds-Davis?
devlman
We get Kovy and its not out of the realm of possibility that we sellout every single game the rest of the way.
Marv4Life
Seriously! That is an insane top 2 lines! The giddiness builds! I still think Zajac would be traded. Thrashers need bodies and are in the playoff race. Just a hunch
devlman
I still think Zajac would be traded. Thrashers need bodies and are in the playoff race. Just a hunch No way we'd put a center in that package, let alone our top center.
SatansDevils
I still think Zajac would be traded. Thrashers need bodies and are in the playoff race. Just a hunch Seriously??? Zajac is going nowhere! he is our top center right now and the Devils need another scoring center. Zajac is going to be here for a longtime. iamtheprodigy
I still think Zajac would be traded. Thrashers need bodies and are in the playoff race. Just a hunch That would completely screw up the team. Other than Brodeur, Zajac is probably our most important player. He's our best center by far. HellOnICE
Zajac isn't going anywhere. It's a non starter.
DaneykoIsGod
I still think Zajac would be traded. Thrashers need bodies and are in the playoff race. Just a hunch A player of Zajac's caliber is not getting dealt for a rental. Jordan Staal didn't go for Hossa, Travis Zajac won't go for Kovalchuk. NJayDevil
Never happen. Now that I'll agree with. Let's face it, we just don't sellout games. But who cares. Kovy will put more butts in the seats though. Whether it be 5 or 150 butts, it'll be a plus at the very least.
