I realize the ship has sailed with respect to the Devils making the playoffs, but does no one in this organization care about winning? Moreover, Smith isn’t going to be on the team next season, but Hatakka likely will be. Why not use the remaining games as an opportunity to get an extended look at him to find out where he fits?

These jerseys somehow look even worse now after recently seeing the stadium series again. I hate them so much.

With the way they've gotten railed by Washington, San Jose, Anaheim, Arizona, and probably more I'd say they even dare to play below their competition.

I ran into him in the hotel bar/restaurant in Tampa after a Devils game years ago and I love the fact that he’s just as fun and likable in person. Such a great dude.

If they tie or lose their game in hand, we'll still be no worse than 6 points out of the wildcard spot. The good news is most of the teams in front of us have a tough schedule. Tomorrow Flyers play the B's and Isles play the Jets, and Wings play the red hot Preds. Very realistic that those three teams lose and we could pick up 2 huge points if we win against Ottawa like we're "supposed" to. Sunday the Caps play the Jets and Flyers play the Panthers. With any luck we could have both of them lose. Safe to say that this weekend likely defines the rest of the season and whether or not we'll have a chance to squeak in. It all starts with taking care of business and doing what we have to. The rest will fall as it does.

Big win against a really good team. Like others have said it's amazing what a less than sieve in goal makes such a big difference. The Devils have only themselves to blame for any bad luck. Had they played better to this point, they wouldn’t need other teams’ help. Fitz needs to learn from this and understand that he can’t make decisions based on personal feelings or misplaced loyalty. I wish Novo would ask him if he’d have waited until March to fire Lindy had the two men not been friends.

If the Devils get hot and don’t make it…. this all falls on Fitz for sitting on his hands until it was TOO LATE.
