Colorado Rockies 1976 Posted December 29, 2017 Share Posted December 29, 2017 Dalton from "Roadhouse" would've made a bigger impact here than this Dalton did. One of those "what the hell, at least he's a young body" kind of moves that didn't work out. I understood it at the time, but Shero has brought in three more D-men since then (Mueller, Butcher, and Vatanen), and though the idea of Lovejoy ever being in the lineup on an every-game basis is scary, at least he's been OK as a fill-in when he's been asked to be that. Just no reason for Prout to be here. I'll say this about Shero: he sure doesn't hesitate to make a move, regardless of the circumstances. Some GMs would've waited to see if Henrique could've picked it up, even with his numbers not being that far off from his career norms at the time of the deal.
