msweet
A tough Sunday night for our boys. Edited March 19, 2006 by msweet
LucifersDog
Tonight's game is a big test for the NJ Devils. I feel they will pass. The offense will click and the defense will stay home and defend. Marty knows how important this game is he will be his best. It will be a hard fought game but the Devils will prevail.
thefiestygoat
Go Devils! I wonder what the line up will be? I hope Hale plays over a guy like Klee. We need our best defense out there. I also wonder if Kozlov will play or if he is the odd man out...Wiemer was good with Rasmussen and Janssen so I expect that to stay intact. This is going to be a big test and tough game for the Devils, but I expect a quality hockey game tonight, with the Devils prevailing. They seem to lose against bad teams and do well against the good ones.
devilsrule33
Sens have changed their lines since we last played them. We have done a good job the first two games shutting down their big line but since then they have switched them by putting Alfredsson on the second line with Arnason while Keeping Spezza and Heatley together on the first line. The good news is that Fisher is injured. He has played very well against the Devils this year. McGratton is also out and of course Hasek is too. devils26
I have not seen much of Hasek's replacement but I heard he has been playing pretty well. I think we need to get a lot of shots on him early and if another line besides the EGG line can put one or two in, I think we will win. Neutral Zone Trap
LETS GO DEVILS!!!! Somebody needs to thump Chara, it's unacceptable that he keeps running Gionta, maybe Janssen can slap him once or twice
Devilsdude530
I have a feeling Wiemer steps up tonight and does the Chara-thumping.
IAmCanadian27
If the Devils show up, this should be a great game. I'll be there tonight and actually in good seats thanks to the Modell's promotion. GO DEVILS!!!
SC Devs Fan
Agree, a good test. Devils have a habit of playing to the level of their competition.... let's see if they can kick it up a notch.
Risky
Emery's been pretty good, but he's still giving up almost 3 goals a game. Ottawa's offense is just unstoppable. If the defense can lock down and we can plink a few in, we'll prevail.

ldmariodl
I watched the Buf/Ott game last night, and Emery looked shacky. The only problem was Buf was acting like the Deils and trying to take the perfect shot. If the Devils just shoot like hell tonight we can win. LucifersDog
This game just became more important for the Devils. Tampa beat the Isles so they are right now tied with the Devils at 76 points. A Devels win separates them again by 2 but a loss OH well.

devilsfan26
Are the Devils really playing dirty, or is this Ottawa radio play-by-play guy just being a homer?
langsgirl
i didnt see anything dirty in the 10 minutes of play i caught.. but i cant speak for before that.
'7'
The Senators better score -1 goals today, because I don't see any way the Devils can score a goal tonight. one whole period and not one good scoring chance. We have one NHL line and the rest are bantam leaguers. The "solution" at one time was banishing Mogilny, now he banishes Kozlov. I guess the next logical step would be to banish Gomez in favor of that random Generic Checking Forward that Lou loves so much. thefiestygoat
First period was ok, the Devils played decent defense and are holding up with Ottowa. Wiemer had a really nice hit btw.
Don
Are the Devils really playing dirty, or is this Ottawa radio play-by-play guy just being a homer? Homers. The one "dirty" play was called - the slash by Gionta on Chara. Other than that, they are hitting, hitting and hitting. 7: Yes. We know. Need it be repeated every game? First period was ok, the Devils played decent defense and are holding up with Ottowa. Wiemer had a really nice hit btw. I'm surprised he didn't get called for charging. While he didn't leave his feet, he set his target from centre ice.

I'm surprised he didn't get called for charging. While he didn't leave his feet, he set his target from centre ice. The radio guy said it was an elbow to the back of the head. Then Elias hit someone and the guy was complaining again saying it was "another high elbow that went uncalled." He complained after seemingly every single hit, it's becoming unlistenable. Why do I get the Ottawa broadcast when I clicked the game radio link on the Devils site?
