That would be hilarious.

I think that was the rumor a lot of insiders were working off of. Stuff like he wanted to play with Ovie and sh!t and that he wouldn't report to any team except WSH. Likely all rumor.

Philly said fvck you directly.

EDIT: Just watched him getting drafted and holy fvck I was not aware of this stud. He's saying all the things you'd want a newly drafted young Russian player to be saying. Mostly standard stuff, but nothing but praise for the Flyers and the new management group and a lot of stating "This is where he wanted to be."

Fantilli and Mitchkov both in our division. That was not what I was hoping for. Screw the ducks and every team before Philli.

Mitchkov won’t be here for a while at least.

Fantilli should certainly help the BJs plenty (was very surprised that the Ducks didn’t take him), but right now I feel so good about the Devils that I’m in pure “OK, not afraid of any of you, come get us!” mode.  Great place to be.

Same here. Before last season, and even during points of last season I was very cautiously optimistic, thinking "Is this too good to be true? When will the floor drop out? Maybe playoffs next year" and it just didn't happen.  They kept the fight all season (December was rough, yes) and went all the way to the 2nd round taking out our hated rivals while their $11M dollar man did fvck-all the whole series.

Now - as a Devil's fan, I walk around like this:

“You can reveal many nuances,” Nikolishin continued. “I can show the correspondence when I wanted to meet him and, being a scout, ask a few questions, do an interview, how he answers. I have never seen such disrespect for other people in my life.”

Sounds like another Nail Yakupov.

The Devils have drafted Cam Squires in the 4th round.

A set it and forget it player sums up Cam Squires. The righty center for the Cape Breton Eagles is sound in all phases of the game. He is not flashy, just a meat and potatoes player with skill. The 5’10”, 150-pound Squires tallied 34 points in 64 games on a terrible Eagles team. His plus/minus of -40 can be thrown out the window. The Eagles were the worst team in the Q, but Squires was a bright light during the dark season. Cam began the season with a pedestrian scoring pace and found his way as the season progressed. Cam plays bigger than his listed measurements, moves well, and plays a cerebral game. He does not overhandle the puck and knows when to dish it and shoot it. He has a quick, accurate release and feathers passes with ease. Squires is a good-to-decent skater, who gets up and down the ice and is continuously involved in the play. It is difficult to assess his defensive play due to the collective mess of a team that yielded 36 shots against per game, and the entire roster was void of a plus player. Heck, they did not have anyone who was even. Another year under his belt should garner attention for Squires, and he should hear his name called in the later rounds of the entry draft.

I copied this from here https://www.thedraftanalyst.com/2023-nhl-draft/2023-nhl-draft-qmjhl-prospects/, but it talks about a lot of other players as well.

Think that's an old review, he put up 64 points in 67 games this year with 30 goals. Seems to have made decent strides in his game this year.
