overtime98
We lose 4-1 and cant put the puck in the net and everyone wants leblond in over Rupp? LOL
nmigliore
We lose 4-1 and cant put the puck in the net and everyone wants leblond in over Rupp? LOL Yeah like Rupp is a 40 goal scorer.. Its to change things around a bit to create a spark. And I can bet hes 10x more hungrier to play than Rupp. Edited April 9, 2009 by nmigliore
Jerrydevil
Who wants to bet that Fischler suggests to Sutter that PL3 should screen the goalie on the power play?

MantaRay
Who wants to bet that Fischler suggests to Sutter that PL3 should screen the goalie on the power play? Good call. Typical Maven strategy.
peteyvegas
Nah. Sutter just doesn't want Neal to be messing with our guys before the playoffs.

devils26
Nah. Sutter just doesn't want Neal to be messing with our guys before the playoffs. I really hope that's why this move was made. If the Devils think this move will solve the Devils' problems, then I'm very worried.

smullzx6
PL3 will give some rest to the guys before the playoffs and will be a force on the ice and could be a positive addition to the lineup for tonight.
DEV1LDR1VER
You definitely need some toughness and don't want to get pushed around in the playoffs. So Pierre adds some depth there. Also there is now another player up and skating waiting for an opportunity if someone is going to sit. That in itself may get some results out of players like Zubs, Rolston, and Holik. I don't see him getting ice time soon, but he is an asset of the Devils. So why not bring him up? Interesting move, but not breaking news. msweet
Is someone else injured?
MadDog2020
Unless someone else is injured, PL3 'aint playing- sorry to crush all of your hopes. Guys get called up at the end of the year for the playoffs because of roster expansion. I'm sure it's nothing more than that.
Devils Pride 26
I'd like to see Bergfors until Elias is healthy, but we all know that isn't happening.
sundstrom
per TG, both Elias and PL3 are playing - rupp and holik to sit. probably rest but i'd prefer if sutter let it be known that its a message to bobby that his play has sucked essentially all season and his stupid ass penalty parade will not be tolerated. pattyelias
According to Chere, PL3 and Elias will be in the lineup tonight. Rupp and Holik to sit. http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2009/04...rreluc_let.html
Triumph
probably rest but i'd prefer if sutter let it be known that its a message to bobby that his play has sucked essentially all season and his stupid ass penalty parade will not be tolerated. it's not a message about that, i am sure. my thing is i'd be okay with bobby running players with the other team if they were any good. but he's always running like maxime talbot or blair betts or something. overtime98
Yeah like Rupp is a 40 goal scorer.. niether is Leblond. Leblond probably will play little more hungrier, but only because he's younger and trying to impress for a job. Playing hungrier could lead into dumb stupid plays. the difference between youth and veterans. Rupp or Leblond - same type of player in the lineup......
