devilsrule33
Nicklas Lidstrom missed time after having testicular surgery to repair a damaged testicle. While teammates played Game 4 against Chicago, Red Wings defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom was undergoing surgery after getting speared in the testicles by Patrick Sharp in Game 3."I thought it was OK that Saturday when I practiced," Lidstrom said, "but Sunday, Sunday I was just in too much pain. I had surgery during that game." Lidstrom said he would need more tests, but more surgery probably would not be needed. He said it was the most painful injury he has had. http://www.freep.com/article/20090613/SPOR.../906130438/1048

Kulags
Amusing: when it was announced that he was out against Chicago, NHL wrote "a lower body industry". It'd be funnier if they just wrote: Nicklas Lidstrom (testicles)
thelastonealive
It'd be funnier if they just wrote: Nicklas Lidstrom (testicles) The testicles are indeed a lower body industry. Upon reading this story, every male on this board felt a sharp pain in that region, I would imagine. I know I did. Hardcore, Lidstrom. Hardcore. devils26
Maybe it's not that bad, you know how like a "tap" can be worse then a direct hit? I cringed as soon as I saw the words testicles and surgery in the same sentence; it was only later that I thought in more detail.

ice dog
i wonder if he had it removed? I knew a guy who had to have that done when he was accidently speared in the groin by a fork lift at Costco.
