Fought uphill all night not only with the score but the awful officials (I thought they missed several calls). McLeod with another great performance. Maybe they need Jack to be sitting to figure things out. Their entire game plan now involves actual work and responsibility rather than just give the puck to Jack. I have to say that, for me, Luke has been pretty bad over the passed month. Nemec on the other hand has been incredible. So poised, so solid in every area. Toffoli sure is slow as hell. I'm far from the first person to make this observation, but I think a subtle but important issue that has challenged this team is the loss of speed up and down the lineup. If Fitz simply refuses to pay the going rate for an upgrade (which he will have to do in the summer anyway), Halak can't be anything worse than VV. Even were Halak to perform as the worst goalie in the league, it would just be a lateral move. Literally. So poised, so solid in every area. Tbf Luke has had some fantastic offensive performances lately. 3 goals & 7 points in his last 7 GP. Nemec has been really impressive defensively though.
