Brodeur completely crapped the bed tonight, damn he was bad. He could have easily had 3 of those goals and this might have still been a game. To say Brodeur has been average so far this year would be giving him way too much credit. But hey, at the same time, the defense has been pretty bad and now we have Volchenkov out with a broken nose, too. This can get ugly over the next few weeks before it gets any better (but I DO believe it will get better). On the bright side, the offense showed more signs of building some chemistry and I think we were pretty even with the Caps, and maybe even outplaying them until the time I stopped watching.
