DevsMan84
Sweet. I can pencil in about 2 or 3 goals added to the team total for next season.
oofrostonoo
He looks so much more skilled on the ice than his numbers reflect. Hopefully he can break through point-wise.
ZeroGravityFat
hopefully they put 'shoot into the net not outside' in his contract.

I think the same thing every time he is on the ice. He has such great hockey sense, but is so snakebitten. I am glad he is back, he has a lot of potential and skills you can't teach. Scoopscj
Now that he is signed let's do the other minor things like Parise, Larsson and a coach. Yeah, those little things are all that's left. /sacrasm off. Happy he signed but we need Parise long term and then I'll be happy. I don't think Lou hung up the phone on Parise's agent because Zharkov was calling.

People were doing the same thing on Facebook about the Devils Dancers auditions. Like the Parise signing has something to do with the Dancers. I highly doubt Lou has any hand or say in the friggin Dancers anyways. Until they start taking cap space, people shouldn't worry about them. CRASHER
Happy he signed but we need Parise long term and then I'll be happy. You name me the long-term contract negotiation that gets done before a deadline.... EVER....good luck with that....it's VERY rare...hell look at EVERY CBA negotiation, people don't step up till a deadline looms near...it's human nature.... Triumph
wow, in before someone says 'the cup is ours'? wish this were a 2 year deal, but we'll see how zharkov does. if he plays most of the season i expect 3-6 goals, 10-15 points, and a +5-+10. we'll see. That would be awkward. "Hey, your a Russian. I'm a Russian. We both play the same style, AND you have my old number. Let me teach you." What we saw from Zharky last year was the real deal..He has so much raw talent, but just needs to refine it and turn that talent into points. I feel with his skill he could be a successful top 6 guy. Not 1st line material, but he has the tools to make it happen.

All the skill in the world isn't gonna lead to goals for a guy like him, especially when you've got Zajac, Parise, Kovalchuk, Tedenby, Josefsen, Elias, etc chewing more minutes in more important roles. At least, not this season. But I like Zharkov. He's a serviceable guy. I hope he finds success on the team, as I feel he could turn into a good 3rd line guy, maybe become a defensive specialist in the Pandolfo mold, but with more skill. If only we could combine Palmieri's hands around the net with Zhakov's skill. Now, Palmarkov would be a force to be reckoned with.
halfsharkalligatorhalfman
Well I'm happy about this. I like Zharkov a lot, I think he contributes everywhere but the score sheet.

elias2600
I'm glad. I am a Zharkov fan. Hopefully he can improve his shooting, because some of the other parts of his game are NHL quality. Definitely happy to have him on the 4th line every game, or the 3rd if he's playing well. Edited July 14, 2011 by elias2600
Quinn01
I enjoy watching Zharkov play. I cant wait to see what he has in store for the next few years. I would like to see him score more points. Id be happy with 8-10 goals this season but that may be reaching for the stars. Either way, solid signing.
