ghdi
#NJDevils acquire Florida’s 2nd-rd pick in 2015 & New Jersey's option of Florida or Minnesota’s 3rd-rd selection in 2016 for Jaromir Jagr.
devilsrule33
Well, sweet that Florida probably misses the playoffs, so it's a nice 2nd round pick. On a sad note, Jagr missing the playoffs again would suck. Edited February 26, 2015 by devilsrule33
NJDevs4978
lol Devils Twitter breaking a big trade...classic Lou. Supposedly we got a two AND a choice of thirds - not bad. Trading him to Florida definitely signals the end of our 'playoff chase' since we're trading him to a team in front

Onddeck
Wow! i think getting a 2nd for the guy is a STEAL. i envisioned a 3rd at best. we get a 2nd and a choice of 3rds for a guy who was not gonna help us any more, and was gone at the end of the year regardless, ill take it
MantaRay
This is a steal for us. Go Lou!
coldply123
Jagr will enjoy playing in Florida especially if they paid him up with either Huberdeau or Barkov. Let's see what else Lou does or has up his sleeve.
Muevelos
Sad to see him leave.. But we got a good return
Triumph
I was hoping for somewhere with more of a playoff shot, but hey, good on Florida for going for it.
RunninWithTheDevil
highway robbery by Lou once again. Wow what a great deal.
RSC
Wow, was not expecting Florida to be a team adding rentals. Kinda sucks that he's going somewhere that he has no chance to get one more Cup, but hey, he'll get the ice time he wants.
Devilsfan118
I was hoping for somewhere with more of a playoff shot, but hey, good on Florida for going for it. Same - but let's not forget the non-hockey side of this trade. He's getting sent to warm and sunny Florida. Not bad for a guy with more than a few aches and pains I'd imagine. Great return, two picks for a guy that wasn't in the plan next year. Great start, keep it going Lou!
SterioDesign
Well that's great news. Glad to see Lou finally pulling the trigger. Good job Lou, i'll give you credit whenever you deserve it.
Devils731
Nice return for Jagr. I'll be rooting for him in Florida.
Onddeck
Jagr was only getting one of either more ice time or a cup. he wasn't getting both so we can be glad he's getting one. a steal.
Chuck the Duck
Descent return for Jagr. Surprised FLA is going for it, but they smell blood in the water with the injury issues and poor play in Boston right now.
devilsrule33
I like the deal more for Florida because it's a nice opportunity for Jagr to get accustomed to the organization and the area. Could definitely be more than a rental.
NJDevs4978
I was hoping for somewhere with more of a playoff shot, but hey, good on Florida for going for it. Why...it makes our pick better if Florida misses the playoffs.
Triumph
Why...it makes our pick better if Florida misses the playoffs. Well, yeah, that's a plus. But for Jagr's sake - although who knows, then he could've gone to a team that I don't like. I'll be rooting for Florida for sure.
Onddeck
Tri, im assuming you meant for his sake, right? again though, i don't think he was getting a cup AND more ice time

I'll be rooting for Florida for sure. I'm not sure he cares tbh...he'll get to play more there in all likelihood in any case, that seems to be his primary motivation. And I can't imagine any offer being better than this so it's a win-win in my book Edited February 26, 2015 by NJDevs4978
Colorado Rockies 1976
Better return than I ever could've expected. Terrific job by Lou, who I'm sure is thrilled that he's in SD's good graces for the next five minutes or so. Guess he can sleep easier now. redruM
Great job by Lou ( long time since I've said that!!) Only 4 or 5 more pieces to get rid of!!
Onddeck
Lou played this season very well, this should put an end to any criticism around the trade deadline. He didn't give up too early and still got a good return
