DJ Eco
Watch Callahan come back quickly from his appendectomy and give the Bolts a huge lift, a Willis Reed kind of return. This will be a great series to watch AND THERE YOU HAVE IT....
thecoffeecake
From what I hear, appendectomies aren't really a big deal anymore. They make three tiny incisions and precisely snip it out. They used to have to cut through a lot of abdominal tissue and muscle, making recovery times pretty significant. I'm sure he won't feel anything come game

Always liked Cally, he's a warrior.

'7'
20 years ago Roy had an appendendectomy during a series against the Bruins and came back to play in the exact same series...so this isnt totally unusual. Go Bolts go. Shove it up there a$$hole captain cally!
Devils Dose
The Caps are the definition of chokers because they often have every opportunity to close things out, but they never do. In the Ovie era, Washington has played in 11 playoff series. During that time, in games where if they won, the series would continue, they've had a 30-25 record. In games where a win would clinch the series, they are 4-13. So you're pretty much spot on.

Jimmy Leeds
My buddy/co-worker is 1st cousins with Burakovsky. He'll be sporting his jersey right up against the glass tonight behind one of the goals. Well MADDOG, he didn't bring good vibes. Caps had him wearing a GoPro for the 2nd period. ALL the goals were scored at the other end. HellOnICE
I don't think Washington choked. I really don't. Even up 3-1, I thought the Rangers had a better chance to win the series. I don't think it's a choke losing to the President's trophy winners.

StarDew
You haven't changed #32. Still bragging/poking fun on another forum? I see it this way - a friend can tease or call a friend a name on their home turf however when someone else calls that person the same name they get their ass kicked. MDPucks
As an up close witness to the Capitals last 16 years of futility I have to say that I don't believe the Capitals "choked" in Game 7. I've seen scared Caps teams crap themselves in Game 7's at home to the Rangers, Penguins, and Habs and I have to say that they were not scared of the big stage, nor the Rangers, nor MSG last night. Game 6 they were scared for the first 30 minutes before they pulled their heads out of their ass staging the comeback but it was too little, too late. It'll be interesting to see what the Capitals do this offseason. Ovie has totally bought into Trotz, I wish the Devils had a guy with the grit and hockey sense of Ward, and Orpik and Niskanen have solidified the backline. I wouldn't be surprised if Green and Backstrom could be heading elsewhere. Green was relegated to 3rd D pair/PP specialist and Backstrom is an incredible passer who refuses to shoot the puck. Its maddening when he holds onto the puck (a la the last PP in Game 6) on the halfboards waiting for a perfect pass as time is expiring. Tom Wilson's aggressiveness needs to be cultivated into a 2012 Milan Lucic before he turns into a Raffi Torres criminal or an indifferent 2015 Lucic. John Carleson is only going to get better, Kuznetsov's talent is unreal and Ovie seems to have taken him under his wing. coldply123
They weren't largely outplaying them. Semantical. They had that series in the bag, and they were outplaying the Rangers for significant stretches in several of the games. Failing to close a series on three games in a row is an absolute choke job. You have no basis to really argue otherwise.
2ELIAS6
i feel bad for sharks east they came out soaring in OT too.. all series long i felt holtby played really solid for them they did well in a lot of areas they blocked a lot of shots etc. but i must say that for the most part i feel like the rags were the better team all in all..which pains me to admit. I just hope tampa has enough in the tank to clip them.

A couple of doctored Capitals graphics poking fun at their inability to close out a series (which ain't anything new)? If he was trolling on the Devils, it'd be different. Just don't see what he did that was wrong here. But yeah, hope the Lightning win, for obvious reasons.
