Well if you asked me prior to this season I would say there was the lack of puck skills he displayed prior to this season, unnecessary penalties he would constantly take (especially on goalies) and poor decision making. He also pretty much single-handedly got us to the playoffs in 2018 with what was probably the greatest season by a forward in Devils history...
